I was, Rocket, it was pretty funny in retrospect - checked it was still available, started doing some comparative measuring, came back and of course...

Will follow your advice, thanks. :)

Who was it that sang "If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"?

Sorry, anal Q: Could one machine wash this beautiful thing?... also, in consideration of sizing, would this require more sizing up than the (wonderful) melton 01?

don't buy any jeans nerk, put the money away & appreciate the denim you have now.  when your current rotation is beat to sh!t invest in a new pair.

although i have a stock pile of sh!t, if i could do it over i would buy less & appreciate more.  having too much stuff kind of makes you numb or desensitized to the beauty of the denim goods & the craftsmanship which goes into them.

Perfectly put, Sir!

I'm consistently puzzled by the number of people who appear to worship at the altar of "fecked" and yet admittedly buy more stuff than they could "feck" in a decade or six unless they employed a servant of similar build to do it for them (any job offers hereby considered...)

Only addressing elephants in rooms and pulling combs... don't mean no harm, surely we can safely debate without tip-toeing too much?

And whilst I'm making myself unpopular, what exactly does "badass" mean?

Your friendly unreconstructed socialist with champagne tastes and white cider funds ( just realised that I may have to purloin yer tag line MM).

Much love and respect to all (genuinely).

Ugh. and Ouch!

I was a West Ham fan as a kid coz it was my local team and my dad used to take me to Upton Park but my late grandad had given me an early 70's United greats annual featuring the Busby Babes and the wonderful pheonix rising late sixties squad, so they were always my second team and became more important when we moved out of London.

Er, and are now more than ever what with the Alerdyce and Sullivan scumbags devils alliance takeover.... I absolutely revere Fergie's genius as a team builder, not to mention his disdain for the media and his steelworker- bred lifelong socialism (ok, rare vintage red wine socialism, these days).

Oh yeah, Dalglish... charm offensive of the season?

I think it may be an open and exciting game (well, I'm hoping) and my £4 bet on a 4-2 United win would reap some XHS joy... so, don't sit on the fence!

Midfield's gonna be key and I hope Park and Scholes are in the starting line up...

Haha Mega! And blimey, a suggestion made all the more perturbing by it's geographic source!

Nottingham is s'posed to have a bad reputation but everybody really knows where armour is a necessity and not an option in the East Midlands... (mind you, I've found Ripley and Heanor a little worrying too).

ALL APOCRYPHAL I'M SURE (well, almost sure; I recall seeing your hilarious photo-story of a local party which apparently had violence as the bloody icing on the cake...

But hell, yeah, when/if the weather improves perhaps we could meet up for a pint, a ramble, a photo-shoot and another pint....

Ta.

Soz, this is a belated hello from Nottingham, UK... been pretty much lurking but also reading virtually every post over the last year, not to mention purchasing as many of the splendid garments produced by Haraki, Giles and the crew as I can afford (which unfortunately is not that many by comparison!).

I'll get round to some fit pics when I get round to getting a camera! I'd still feel a little awkward asking a friend to to take snaps of my clothes so strangers can look at them... but y'know my mates must be weird or summat... or is it me/us!?

It's been an education and a pleasure to read your posts. Thanks.

God, I love Leonard.

One helluva dapper dresser to boot.

Giles, you should send him some IH, that'd be some heavy reflected glory!
