I have only seen the areas between the grand plaza and the EU-parliament area. (Yes, I'm a cog in the government machine.. :P ).

1) Chocolate, waffels and fries.. with majo. EVERYWHERE

2) lots of small, cool stores with everything from 14th century maps to Iron Heart denim.

It's lookin like I have the chance the spend the day in Brussel's on the 6th of May.  Anything I should definitely do while I'm there? Any recommendations on places to grab some food and beer?

Planning to pass through in a month or so.  Anything worthy of note that I might not find in the tourist guides (or anything in the standard tourist guides I should avoid)?

I'll be on the watch for shady-looking bald guys with pig fetishes.
