IH-634S-GR - 21oz Grey Selvage Straight Cut Jeans

Haraki has been working on this denim for some time.  21oz, warp is sulphur dyed grey and the weft is enzyme dyed black (super back).  The end result is a denim with a dark grey face that will fade with time.  The first batch has just been completed, but we lost 40% in production, Haraki said there was "colour variation", I guess us mere mortals would not have noticed, but they were not good enough for the Big H. 

We have initiated a new run, but this batch is super limited.  Will be here in about a week....

This makes me want to cry. Surely with that kind of loss rate, you guys can't possibly be making a profit on this run?

I dont understand what the powers that be expect the fabric to look like when it is faded? Blue? Black? Grey?

Maybe Black fades on grey or a mixture?

Well, as there is no indigo in the fabric we can rule blue out.  The Warp will fade the weft won't, so it will get lighter in colour with time.  But until it happens, we don't  know exactly what will happen.  You my friends are our guinea pigs...

so you did a quick google search for "grey denim," and thats what you think we'll get from these beauts? c'mon

edit: if anyones familiar with the brand "neighborhood" look into the grey/black "washes" they put out, most authentic looking and in the color range i can think of.
