Cut-Rate
« on: August 26, 2010, 04:06:45 AM »
My friend Oliver's line.  thought you all might dig it

Cut-Rate is not a line with a manifesto about merging cultures, creating a movement via fashion, or expressing individuality through t-shirts.
Nor is Cut-Rate about elitist cut-and-sew, lofty philosophies, or making the world a better place.
Cut-Rate is for doing. It's for having your head under the hood of your car, for rumbling across endless stretches of asphalt, for getting scraped up, for wiping beads of sweat off of your forehead, and for being thrown on three days in a row.

100% crafted and manufactured in the U.S.A., Cut-Rate is built upon the utilitarian principles of classic American work wear—it's not "the best", nor does it care to be—but works. And it works hard.

Using hand-made vintage fabrics milled in the States and utilizing timeless cuts and silhouettes, the brand's homemade, DIY aesthetic promotes a "ride it till the wheels fall off" mentality—it doesn't want to be clean and kept, but used, destroyed, and replaced. Cut-Rate is the ubiquitous, the classic, and a symbol of the machine of American life.

The first season of Cut-Rate will be in select stores in Japan and the United States beginning Spring/Summer 2010.

Nice, could you take some measurements of them?

I'm normally an IH XL and I'm curious about what that translates into for Cut-Rate.

Thanks

Gilbertt, any chance you could take those measurements for the striped workshirt sometime this week?  Payday is Friday!  Thanks.

The large in the printed red-kap work shirts is 22in pit to pit.  The Cut-Rate sizing is pretty standard U.S.  sizing.

I love those bikes. I couldnt help notice the strange and probably uncomfortable as fuck position on pic 16/27 in their lookbook, probably explaining why the guy has to do what he does on 21/27 to relieve his muscles and joints!
