I just received my 21 oz. Ironheart 634S jeans today--all ten pair of them! It took all of three or four minutes to get the box open and a pair on. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of fabric and workmanship. These are what denim was meant to be. Haraki san took traditional button fly denim jeans and then raised the bar through his attention to detail (I especially like the buttons and watch pocket), by using only best-quality materials, and by applying superior Japanese craftsmanship. Impressive softness & comfort for such heavy fabric.
Color not as dark as evisu, mainly i guess because thread & weave are very thick and not weaved as tight as evisu (fortunately, else we could not fold the knee !). Very nice moired effect between dark indigo and pure white.
Very nice construction also, even if I am a little bit disappointed by 2 minor things : back-pocket rivets are not made of silver ? (fabric is not about to be scratched to unhide them, but...) and too bad that back-pocket are not lined.
As a summary : amazing and very special jeans. I'm very happy with them (and also because it's not another pair, just heavier : it has a really different aspect)" |
