Buying and Selling / SOLD: Hansen Storm Coat X Tenue de Nimes LARGE
« on: August 10, 2020, 09:56:07 am »

I'm selling my Hansen Storm coat X Tenue de Nimes Colab coat. Its a truly unique piece of clothing, not only because its limited to 50 pieces but also the way it is designed. It is between a Fishtail and a Peacoat. Quality and finish is crazy. For instance, the oversize buttons are real horn.

This was my go to jacket for fall and mild winter days and to make sure the rain would keep out, I put a dual coat of Otterwax on it, making it fully waterproof.

here is an article on it:

And some pictures on the general look (the colour is a little different):

Size is Large

Hey Guys,

I bought a couple items a while back and had to return one of them, since I haven't heard back from them I checked their website to see and turns out they are having a COVID-19 support sale. Most everything, including their IH stock is at a 20% discount. Note that it looks as though they will only ship once the Lockdown has been lifted so it could be a couple weeks.

The contact I had with the guys was nice and amical. I hope they will pull trough. They have a real nice collection of menswear. I will definitely buy more from them in the future.

Want to Buy / Looking for black engineers boots size 43 - US10 - UK9
« on: June 19, 2019, 12:39:06 pm »

I've been playing with the idea of getting into engineers boots again. I've had a couple of pairs from when I first starter riding motorcycles but stopped because they always became too loose. Of course, at the time (about 10 years ago) I didn't understand why some boots where more expensive then others and always ended up buying a cheap pair.

I'm looking for a pair that has as little use as possible since key to a good snug fitting pair is the breaking in. If anyone has a black pair that they are simply never wearing, I'm willing to take them of your hands. Price is depending on the product. I'm willing to take Wesco, Viberg, Whites etc.

Just send me a PM if you think you might have something for me :)

Going, Going, Gone.... / SOLD: Hand made Custom leather knife roll
« on: April 04, 2019, 05:21:35 pm »

Something a bout out of the ordinary here:

I have for sale a leather knife roll. I bought it from a guy who makes these build to order in the Ukraine. I requested a total lenght of 27cm instead of the more common 23cm but he forgot and send out a 23cm one. Long story short, my Gyuto doesn't fit and I'm left with a knife roll I can't use. The quality of the leather is really outstanding. It can hold 4 knives.

I've payed about 75€ + shipping + 37€ import tax. Will let it go for 50€ + shipping if anybody is interested.

Just note: If your chefs knife is 20cm (the most common length) this will be perfect for you.
Also The leather patch has my name engraved on it (but I blocked it out of the picture), you can remove this ofcourse.

E: info@grivecbros.com

I've send my 4y old 634S for a couple repairs and they did an amazing job. Can barely see any work has been done but feels like they have added another 4y to the pants.

Here are some pictures.

FYI I've send my jeans on Tuesday, got an email on Wednesday saying they got them in and then again saying they where repaired on Friday same week.

They also sell jeans and some accessoires but I'm betting their main strongpoint is the repairs they do.

Hey Everybody,

I'm selling a pair of sunglasses I have that I never wear (because My nose bridge is just a little to big for em)

The brand is Retro Super future, they use real glass Zeiss lenses and the feel and quality is top-notch
Retail price is around 165€, yours now for 80€ shipping incl to EU

I still have the original case and bag.

Other Brands and Shops / The Saldebus - Jean Hanger
« on: May 02, 2017, 02:31:35 pm »
Just thought I would share this with you guys:

Last year I made a pledge on Kickstarter for a "Jean Hanger"

It took a lot more time than expected due to shipping issues but I got my hangers last week and I must say, I really like it. It's a patented product that lets you hang your jeans (or any other pants) from the loopholes.

here is a link to the current website.

I follow the inventor on Facebook since a couple of months and we had a some nice chats. The next batch of hangers will be made in the US so don't expect the prices to get any cheaper, but at least you will be backing USA / Canada.

On a side note: his idea already got ripped off by a Russian company who stole his patent and sells a similar product on hangyourjeans.com or jeansfit.ru they have a very dodgy website and I would not recommend you buy from them ever!

The Resource Centre / Looking for a good shoeshop BeLux region
« on: October 28, 2016, 08:42:57 pm »
Hey all,

After 4 years and over 1000 miles (literally: I walk about 4 miles a day and have 3 pairs of boots in rotation) I think its time to resole my Wolverines.
Problem is that I don't know a good shoemaker in the Belgium area who can help me out. I'm looking to put Vibram 100's on my Courtlands.

Anybody know of a shop who can help me with this? Belgium - Holland - Germany give me a shout.
