Common Project Grey Suede Desert Boots Size 42 ($140)

The suede seems sturdier than standard suede.  Very little wear.  These run 1 size larger than the achilles (if you wear a 43 in the achilles these should fit).  I punched a third hole for the laces trying to achieve a tighter fit but they were still too loose.  Does not come with the original box or shoe bags.

Heal to toe: 29.75cm (11.7in)

Visvim Kiefer Size US9 ($140)

In excellent condition.  I bought these   used and only wore them a few times.  Does not come with the original box or shoe bags.

Heal to toe: 30.0cm (11.8in)

Self Edge x Sugar Cane Jungle Cloth Pants Size 30

I bought these new from Self Edge in 2010.  They were worn about 10 times when I first bought them and have sat in my closet since then.  I heard at the Ironheart Fish and Chips last summer that these are a rare and sought after item and since they were a bit small when I bought them and definitely too small now, I've decided to get rid of them.  I had them hemmed to 33.5in (85cm) upon purchase.

Official Description
This is the description of these pants according to Self Edge

Self Edge and Toyo Enterprises have come together to bring the perfect pant in terms of hardware, details, and fit. Jungle Cloth fabric, hidden rivets, natural indigo dyed Satokibi denim lined rear pockets and pocket bags, indigo cotton twill inner leg seam lining, iron embossed buttons, and a slim fit round out this new release produced in a limited run.

We saw quite a few khaki fabric pants enter the market within the last year, we wanted to do our version in a slim cut. A version that is not only extremely comfortable but uses a fabric far more interesting, more durable, more versatile, and more comfortable than a khaki fabric. Jungle Cloth is exactly that.

The SEXT11 is made of a fabric that is dyed khaki color "Jungle Cloth" (100% cotton gros-grain). Used by the USN from the 1920's to 1950's, this fabric has amazing sturdiness and is also weatherproof and comfortable to wear. It was loomed to USN specs by Toyo's (Sugar Cane, Buzz Rickson, Mister Freedom) fabric mills in Japan.

Jungle cloth is a very durable fabric that far outlasts any khaki (fabric, not color) on the market, also due to it's gros-grain weave the fabric is weatherproof and extremely soft on one side, the inside of the pant. The inside feels like pressed cashmere while the outside is a smooth and slick canvas so any dirt or contaminants are easily brushed off.

Features
  • Tan whipcoard fabric
  • Denim pocket bags
  • Fancy buttons
  • Blue stitching
  • Denim lining on back pockets

Condition
There are two things which detract from a like-new condition.  The first is that a stitch has come loose on the front left pocket.  Another is that my Ironheart belt left brown marks along the waistband (this is not visible if you where a belt).  See the photos below for pictures of these two imperfections.  Otherwise, the pants are in perfect condition since they were worn approximately 10 times.

Measurements
Measurements were done the Ironheart way.
  • Waist: 32.7in (83cm)
  • Front Rise: 11.4in (29.0cm)
  • Rear Rise: 15.4in (39.0cm)
  • Thigh: 12.8in (32.5cm)
  • Knee: 8.4in (21.4cm)
  • Hem: 8.3in (21.0cm)
  • Inseam: 33.5in (85.0cm)

Other Info
The pants will be shipped from Germany.  The price includes tracked shipping to Europe and North America (contact me for prices to other parts of the world).  Payment is via PayPal.  Add 3% if transfer is not done as Friends+Family.  All sales are final.

Shirting / IHW-01 (Melton Wool shirt)
« on: October 09, 2009, 10:45:11 am »
A few questions about the IHW-01:

1. Is this more of a shirt or a jacket.  It's labeled as a shirt but is described as being made of wool as thick as that used in peacoats.

2. How scratchy is it? And is it designed to be worn over a tshirt or only long sleeve shirts?  I tried on a melton wool shirt/jacket by SugarCane over a tshirt and had to remove it immediately because it was itching me so badly.  I usually have no problem wearing wool sweaters over a tshirt.
