Great pickup! I love their hats, though the snap backs only just fit my George Lopez head. :D

It depends on whether or not the two arms come from the same part of the cow or the same cow or something like that. It's probably not a big deal, but I will admit that the right arm looks nicer than the left arm to me :D

All of my boots have had that stitching break rather quickly... everything from Lofgrens to Role Clubs to Clinch so I don't think it's an issue at all.

A few posts have been deleted from here because there were some unfounded allegations flying about.

I am slightly dumbfounded that someone decided to open old wounds, particularly when I made him a bespoke Simmons Bilt jacket and this was his response when it did not work for him....

Hey Giles. I am sorry, but the jacket isn't going to work out for me. If it is ok, I would like to return it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, it is gorgeous in every way. However, it just doesn't look on me the way I thought it would. I guess black just isn't my color or something. If I can't return it, I understand and will just sell it. It has only been tried on, not worn outside although I did remove the tag on the zipper so I could zip it up easier. I am very sorry for this and you have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with and will absolutely be looking at Iron Heart for future purchases and will recommend to anyone. Again, I am sorry for the way this has turned out and thank you again.

I remain slightly bemused....

This may be the most petty thing that has ever happened to me on a forum. Shameful that it is being done by someone so high up.

You delete my post and then do this? I will assume that you will delete this as well.

Posting what I said in a private email on a forum without my permission? You've got to be kidding me.

I can explain all of this of course, but I am so incredibly disgusted and this is so laughably rude that I will refrain from doing so for now.

I finally decided to buy myself a Leather Jacket, now i am waiting for the Black Horsehide Sampels from Simmons Bilt. I am 98% shure that ill get a SB Vintage Racer  ;D

I would not give my business to that brand, but I do love racer jackets.

I'm happy with my Aero.

There's a lot to be said in favor of buying your first jacket used. You get a lot of bang for the bucks and this gives you an opportunity to really refine what you like or not. If you spend a little time on the fedoralounge, you'll see that many people rotate their collection over time.
Im getting an Aero I decided... though the variation on the Cafe Racer is chosen, I'm getting some samples before I pick the leather... should be grand either way :)

The Fedora Lounge proved very very useful by the way

Nice choice. It is the most useful place for leather jacket knowledge at the end of the day.

John Chapman saying Shinki is the best at producing leather which fits the bill in terms of use for making the best repro jackets in the world is not the same as Chapman saying Shinki is the best HH in the world.  If Chapman's business didn't primarily focus on reproducing flight jackets he just may prefer a different HH altogether.

And let's be honest it's not exactly just the leather that makes a Himel or Chapman jacket look so good.  Those guys could make pleather look great.

This topic, like many, is one that is totally a matter of preference.  Different strokes for different folks.

Agreed. My goal was to give a different perspective to what was being given before I stepped in.

something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act:
He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him.
something that is amusing, a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously.
a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter:
The loss was no joke.

Yeah, I know. I didn't find it funny. :-X
