Hey powerband, what size did you go with? And did you go larger than your UHF size?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I went with size small because the listed measurement specs fit me. (Apologies for the ignorance but I don’t know what the abbreviation UHF is.) I appreciate that IH list the measurement specs for their items... perhaps that’s why I continue to buy from them.

I love this shirt, too. Just like other IH products I have, it’s tough as nails.

Got the shirt this past week with lightning fast shipping to California. Very glad I got it because it exceeds my expectations.

Two Japanese items and one from Hollywood: a Grand Seiko, an Iron Heart, and a GA Rossetti heart ring.

Looking forward to the rest of the measurements!

The specs on the size SMALL are all perfect for me, but I fear that, when I finally wash/soak the shirt (after several months of wear), it will shrink a whole size. Is this fear justified?

Couldn’t be further from the truth. The overdying process takes all the shrinkage out of the denim. See the product page for details.

Fuck yeah, then. I’m on it. Thanks.

I have the non over dyed version. Machine washed it right out of the bag. Cold water, inside out and air dried. No problems.

Should I go ahead and order the size with the specs that fit me pre-wash/pre-soak?

Thanks for any help.

Just arrived. And exactly as I remembered: easy to wear right out of the box. I sold a previous one, but this one is permanent.

RESTOCK

Good news. This is one of those rare jackets that has to be handled and thrown on the back to understand its significance. I had the SE version (but regretfully sold it), so I truly appreciate the quality of this IHJ-35. Can’t wait for the delivery of my second one.

That is good news @Powerband . I look forward to your fit pics. Remember to also get the GAH snaps for it... ;D ;D

Haha! The GAH snap is one of the driving reasons I reordered this jacket!

I had the SE version but sold it because it was just slightly too large for me, and I’ve moved on to other jackets like those from Fine Creek & Co., Aero and Johnson. But the quality and hand-feel of the IHJ-35 horsehide keeps haunting my dreams.

Last night, before laying down to bed for what would have been another fitful night of sleep, I ordered the last size small on the website.

I had the deepest, dreamless sleep I’ve ever had in a while.

Hopefully the jacket lands in a few days.

I was inspired by @Eisenherz  and @Chesson ’s pics today to wear my IHJ 35. Mine is the Self Edge variant, with side pockets but no side zips. Pimped with a GAH snap cap

Chesson’s cool pic with the new snow UHF got me thinking of something similar to wear under it. The closest I could get was my IHSH 91. An IH groundbreaking shirt...the first work shirt with snaps! I love it.

Last pic is to show that I have finally learned how to control my tripod mounted SLR from my phone...pick where it should focus....no more composing, firing, running and standing still in 10 seconds. You’ll have to bear with the ‘small print but forgot my reading glasses’ attitude from now on.

That looks fantastic and the fit is smack. The Good Art pimp is just the right amount of subtlety. How does the Good Art button install? Can you explain how that works?

I love this jacket more everyday.

Cheers!

I love that teacore brown showing through. Gorgeous! Thanks for the pics.

Here’s mine—just threw it on this morning in low light, so apologies for the grainy cellphone pics.

Jackets / IHJ-72 - 18oz Selvedge Denim Type ll Jacket - Indigo/Indigo

Tempted to snag a pair but cant decide whether a Large or XL will work. Am currently a  size  Xl in Flannels and I have a 43chest with 18 shoulders. I know there is shrinkage to be had in these.

I soaked mine in cold water, minimal agitation, for 30 minutes. Dried it in the shade laid flat on a towel. The shrinkage is as followed on my jacket sized 36:

Shoulders: 0.25 inch
Sleeves: 1.2 inch
Chest: 0.5 inch
Length: 0.6 inch

I had approximated this from the test results listed near the beginning of this thread, and therefore expected the shrinkage. My result was very consistent with the list given.

It is such a freaking nice jacket.
