General Chat / Re: All Things Mac/ Apple
« on: April 25, 2015, 04:01:07 am »Has anyone had any experience swapping to an SSD for a mid-2012 MBP? I just ordered a Transcend 960gb SSD and I'm debating whether to do the swap myself or if it would be worthwhile to take it somewhere.
Swap it yourself. It's super easy. If you know how to use a screwdriver you'll be fine. You'll need a small philips head screwdriver and I believe a T6 torx screwdriver. I'm sure there are plenty of videos around to guide you through it.

Paging @urbanwoodsman
Not sure if you'd be in to these but they look like a good build to me if you could overlook some wonky stitching. A bit loud but I'd wear the hell out of them.
Red Jobmasters in 9E currently on the seconds page for <$300:
I'm not into the Ketchup Red colorway or captoes. I'm still waiting for the right pair to pass through the seconds area

Understatement of the year.
Hehei own both, the japanese made all American and the US made Center Hi and both are fantastic on the feet. Both are build well with great comfort imho. I also like both lookwise but thats me:)
I'll agree to disagree. Having seen the Made in USA pair twice in person and just seeing the Made in Japan pair in pics, it's still difficult to see how you think they are similar in quality. It's confusing because I have a lot of respect for your opinion. Whatever floats your boat man.

That's awesome @FurattoHeddo
Yeah, I'm still a bit confused about the "back not lining up" as I can not find any images of other UHFs with the back and front side seam matching up perfectly. I can understand if the front pockets are severely misaligned or the placket is weird.

@Broark how was the fit? Did you figure out your general IH shirt size?
The stitching on the pockets is wonky and the back pattern doesn't match. I probably wouldn't have notied, but it's definitely sub-standard for IH.Thanks for the feedback. I'll get to see mine on Thursday, hoping for a good one.

What's so bad about it? Is it stuff you would of noticed without being told about it?

I think most planes have internet now.
Most planes do but you never know.
Thankfully this one does. Anyone ever bought IH gear at 40,000ft?

Hot machine wash and hot dry the XXL. No problem.
