A 911 is a very sensible car. A friend of mine works for a car website/magazine and said he's driven the 911 cross-country several times, and the seats are the most comfortable car seats he's ever used. At your stage in life, it's important to be comfortable ;)

Yes that is my submarine.

What boat is that? You're a submariner?

I very HEAVILY modified my MK4 and a flash tune is the best bang for your buck for performance gains. I looked into Cobb a little, and it's a 25% hp and torque increase for about $600. Incredible! I'm thinking about it, but something about keeping it bone stock is appealing at this stage in my life.

I always refer to my car as my little pickup truck because I can fit so much into it when I need to.

Thanks! Seriously great cars to drive. I look forward to it every day, and that's how it's been since I bought my first one in 2005.

The sauce unfortunately is covering up a nice crust, I probably should have served the steak on top of the sauce.

Bingo! Sauce goes underneath unless you're trying to cover something up. A spoonful of sauce covers 1,000 mistakes.

Everything sounds great! I shoot for medium rare with scallops for that very reason. They're so good when they're cooked properly.

A proper shucking knife is so essential. I was an oyster shucker about 20 years ago, and there's no replacement for the proper tools.

It happened to be our dinner last night, but only because that's all we could throw together with what we had in the house. I've been sick for a week and a half, and yesterday was the first time I've felt like cooking in a while.

That dinner looks awesome! I love oysters and I also love Veuve!

That steak looks phenomenal, as does the sauce. Are you covering up a mistake with that sauce?

My new 2018 MK7 GTI. This is my third one, and I'll probably get another after this one. This GTI has 220hp and 258 lb-ft torque. This car handles so well, and is so comfortable to drive. It's a vast improvement from my 2008 with CarPlay that allows me to integrate my phone/apps, and it has tons of other creature comforts that make it one of the best cars under $30k.

The X-PAC could be useful if I ever take that cross-country bicycle trip that I've been thinking about.

Where on earth did you find that? I was just looking around trying to find out more! Their own website doesn't even describe the types of malt in it, only the hops.

Not sure if there's any wheat in it. Hazy beers are getting pretty trendy around here lately, and I'm not sure if it's a wheat thing, or what? I guess I need to do a little research.

It's nice to be read! I know I've been a little absent lately, but I'm still here in spirit. Glad to get back to spending some time with you fine folks!
