what band are you in?

A band from Atlanta called Foundation.

Hey Champ!  I met you briefly at Burning Fight in Chicago.  I think I approached you when I noticed your Flat Heads.  f380?

Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to geek out at the SELA party because I already had a ticket booked from LA to DC leaving that morning.

Fortunately I got to geek out in another way in DC by stopping by the Dischord House.  Yes, I saw the museums and the monuments but this was probably the highlight of my trip.

On another note...

Are any of you going to the FREE Integrity / Ceremony / Pulling Teeth show in LA on 11/13?

I remember that Jesuit show...  I may still have the bruises.  The great thing about that place is that it was basically setup like house shows in a living room.  Did you ever play the Pickle Patch in Santa Barbara?  Used to just drive up there and then just crash on the floor after the show.

Wow, glad to see the Pickle Patch mentioned on here. I grew up and currently live in Santa Barbara. I remember some great show at the Pickle Patch; Ensign, Kill Your Idols, Good Clean Fun, Dillinger Escape Plan...

If you remember The Living Room in Goleta, I'm working to get that place up and running again.

Lando is flexing his mod powers, nice!

riffblaster general - where are you?  still go to shows?

last one i went to was the Unbroken/Undertow/Threadbare reunion in SoCal...  i'm pretty out of it as far as newer bands.

I'm so stoked this thread exists. I was at that Unbroken show in SoCal too. I also went to their reunuion at Burning Fight in Chicago.

I've got to say, I'm a little weirded out by the cross.  Anyone else?

Can't give you any firsthand knowledge, but I've been considering both the Beckman and the Iron Ranger, myself.  I like the sole of the Beckman better; the lugs seem like they'll give better traction, but I love the cap toe of the IR.  If I could get the Beckman sole on the IR, I'd be set.  I've even played with the idea of getting the IRs and immediately getting them resoled, despite the additional cost.
Thanks for the input!

I think the Beckman is a tad more refined looking, so if you want a slightly dressier boot, go with that one.  Otherwise, I say get the IRs.

Thinking about getting the RW 9014 Beckman boot, black.  Anybody have them?  Thoughts, especially vs. Iron Ranger?

Lando, do you know what the price is on these? Maybe Giles can comment too. This would be so rad for working on my motorbike. I'd love to see some made superblack too!

Thanks Hectic. I checked out the MF boots on Sunday at the store in LA. They are alright but I think the pricetag is a bit steep. I've been thinking about getting the 1000mile boot as an everyday boot, but I think I want something a bit more rugged for motorcycling.

I'm looking for a good boot that's versatile for motorcycling and everyday wear. I've considered Wesco and the Lone Wolf engineer boots from History Preservation ($700, so damn expensive!). Any suggestions/feedback!

im one of those people.

well idk how iron heart shirts fit. but for AA shirts and pretty much any other, I wear medium. the small fits perfectly.

Do you wear it just over a t-shirt? Layered over a flannel or hoodie? Both?
