I got the jacket in the mail last week. I haven’t had a chance to wear it out because it’s been too hot. I’m getting a bit anxious because it really is a great jacket and it fits me perfectly. It’s incredibly soft and has aged spectacularly (makes me think I need to wear my type III more). Here are some pictures... hopefully I’ll be wearing it in the next ones.

Good chocolate and some cool tunes. This tour is pretty rad.

I have not. But, today was the first time I tagged him.

I’m still around. I have a little baby keeping me busy but I do my best to keep up. It’s still summer here so if anybody wants to swap turns that would be better, but if not I’m ready to go.

Excellent. @DK is next on the list after you. Maybe work it out between yourselves and lets keep this going.

PM sent. Let’s just assume it’s still my turn unless you hear anything different from me or @dk.

« on: January 11, 2019, 12:40:59 am »
As heading says, I’m looking to stock up on IH flannels in size XXL and possibly XL. Help me out if you have anything that you’d like to get rid of. Thanks!

I have a few I’m looking to move. I’ll pm you this evening.

Jackets / Re: IHJ-35 - Chrome Tanned Japanese Horsehide Riders Jacket

We’ve discussed this a few times and if I remember correctly the only thing we were sure of is that the SE version had longer sleeves. Personally I think that with this kind of investment you might have to consider buying one to try the fit (assuming you don’t live near a SE) and sending it back if it doesn’t work for you as part of the process. I have the IH methods for measuring so ingrained in my brain that the SE numbers don’t mean much to me.

I was with you guys regarding black leather... then I saw this guys insta and some of his jackets

It peaked my interest enough to get me to buy black and I fell in love as soon as I saw it on me. I also love brown too though.

However... he did pay for shipping and got nothing right? So Shipping was reimbursed? I don’t see big deal.

It’s hard to say since we don’t know what really happened. Assuming the “seller” did actually ship the denim, then this seems like an unfortunate situation for all envolved. Lesson learned for everybody. But if the “seller” never shipped anything, regardless of whether or not the “buyer” paid for tracking, then this is just plain dishonest. In any case, the stakes were low. I think you can chalk it up as a win given the outcome. Always get tracking.

This shirt is definitely a favorite of mine. In fact, it’s cold enough to break it out this weekend...

The Resource Centre / Re: Random questions to which you seek an answer

Not avoiding the question @DrBabyhorse just proving the point that it's a pointless question as neither one of us are ''young folk" (although that's open to interpretation).  I have two children who are 17 and 12 and many acquaintances through work who are young and well, they tell me things.

We might referring to different groups when we say young. I’m talking specifically about college students. Most 12 year olds don’t have debit cards.

A highly riguous google search seems to corroborate what the young folk tell me.

Not in my city it's not.

Are you a young folk?

Are you?

Avoiding the question, I see. I am not, but I teach at a large public university and the young folk tell me things.

Working in your work gear does it every time. I think @spitfiredealer has the perfect gig for this too as stone, concrete, gravel, dirt and wood have just the right level of abrasiveness to strip indigo out of cotton.

I always work in my gear. Teaching doesn’t seem to have the same effect though.
