thx a lot for getting back @moto @marlin ...well recently i'm mostly shooting product photos and such. though i would use it as my "go to" camera which means that i'd shoot anything with it. taking it on city trips, longer vacations, shooting portraits and/or landscapes etc. ...

i'm not a professional photographer, not at all, but i'd say i have a great "eye" for what i can tell...just want to take some good pics that's all ;)

any other suggestions while we're at it?

cheers and thanks in advance.

does anyone of you guys have experiences with the Sony Alpha a7 ?
any good or bad things to say about it?

shooting with my Nikon D5000 body and a 50mm 1.8 lens so far. it's all good but after years of use and some minor defects i'm now in the market for something new...thinking Sony Alpha a7 with the Sony 35 or 50mm 1.8...

what are your thoughts guys? :)

I d choose the gmt!

i really like that gmt master 2 but then i'm probably bias to that..

Nothing to choose between them really.
Both fantastic watches.
Just down to personal taste.
I'm more of a GMT fan.

thanks a lot guys, that's the one i'm searching chrono24 for back and forth ^^
so if you find one in great condition for a decent price, feel free to pm please. thanks!

do you have any recommendations when it comes to the rolex submariner date? like what model/year of production to go for etc.?

soooooooooo...i finally was able to check both watches of interest out in person the other day :)

while first being blown away from the tudor, the watch i actually want to buy as a birthday present to myself, i soon had to realize, after putting on and wearing the rolex for a couple of minutes, that i wasn't that sure anymore about the "simplicity" of the tudor. all black everything and really nothing that gave me that "boom, this is it" feeling...which the rolex gave me. so now i'm looking into copping a rolex sub as part of my 30th birthday present :) looking for a 1987 model in perfect shape...just in case you guys are keeping an eye out for me :)

talking about chrono24...has anyone in europe bought a watch from the states and had it shipped to your door? if yes, did you have any problems with customs or so? need/want to avoid that if amorphe possible :)

ha, you and me in the same boat mate! ;D @SimonQ. ...when was your 30th if i may ask and what specific model is that one? :)
still figuring it out...the more i look at the rolex watches, the more they grow on me and the more i like them...damn ^^

thanks again for the honest words guys...you're totally right. go with what you like/love instead of buying something just because the resell price is gonna be insane. cuz if you do, you (normally) don't care about reselling ;)
