I’m considering picking this piece up. At first I was contemplating because it seemed too similar to last years IHSH-333 sax flannel, but I think it’s different enough to justify a pickup.

Just grabbed this in a L from Iron shop provisions. They were running a 15% off sale. Went down a size from my typical iron heart size and what I wear on the N1 so I’m hoping it works out. I also got the new crazy check brown flannel in XL and the 17 oz. Duck type 3.

Any idea or examples how these or the cargos will age over time? Can’t manage to find many.

RE: IHSH-336-NAV - Ultra Heavy Flannel Crazy Check Western Shirt - Navy
I just grabbed this on sale at snake oil provisions in XL. They had it in their last chance section for 305$ plus another 15% off sale they’re running brought it to 260$. What an insane bargain.

RE: IHM-37-ODG - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
So the general consensus is to take your UHF size if you want to layer, and size down if you want a trimmer look? I live in upstate New York where winters get pretty brutal, so I’ll definitely be layering. My most recent UHF is the sax blue in XXL which fits comfortably. I also have a few older UHF’s in XL which fit a bit more trim. My general opinion with outerwear like this is to size up, rather than down, if in doubt.

@yannis super stiff. Not really like the 21oz at all IMO. I used to own a pair of the 8301s. Just copped a pair of the 888’s.

RE: IHM-40-GRN - Whipcord A2 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
@SaddleSC western, which is what I always do. I just prefer them. I love the snaps. I think I’m up to 7 in the collection now.
I hope I sized correctly with the A2. It seems like the IH staff all sized down 1 for it. My N1 is an XL and fits exactly perfect. I wear it over a t shirt and if I want to layer with a UHF, or hoodie ,it’s snug, but still good. The chest, and waist measurements for the A2 seemed to make it seem like it fit a size bigger than the n1. This style of jacket also looks better to me when it’s not oversized.

@hgering27 looks good man! How did you size? I take an XL in the n1. But for this I’m thinking I should size down.

RE: IHM-40-GRN - Whipcord A2 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
@denim-dawg excellent reply man. I was wondering if I could justify the purchase with having just got the n1 last year. I think I’m going to pick it up.
It seems to fit about a size larger? In an XL in flannels and the n1.

RE: IHM-40-GRN - Whipcord A2 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
Really like this one, but I just got the IHM-37-ODG (oiled n1) last year. How does the warmth and wind resistance compare to the n1?

RE: Books
@sabergirl that’s perfect thanks. I’ve always been a physical book guy but I might need to try a kindle now.

RE: Books
@sabergirl can you give me a brief rundown of how Libby works? My local library uses it. But it seems like it’s mostly physical books and not audio.
