I've been away, but damn I've got to join in. These are some of the records that have meant the most to me over the years, and still get regular rotation

Love Bolt Thrower. I was lucky enough to see them live twice before they decided to call it quits. Quality from start to finish

"There is no shelter from the steel rain!" is a very fitting description for their live performance

Thanks @neph93 and @Seul . Brexit is a major pain for me, professionally speaking. I've spent the last 10 weeks trying to explain to customers why their orders have been stuck in Customs for 6 weeks (and counting). Just an all-around shitshow.
Anyway, back to topic:

@neph93 & @Seul while browsing the thread I noticed that you've both posted pics of Wylam beers. Do you buy them locally or order online? If you get them at your local ship that won't work for me obviously, but I'd be interested in recommendations for online shops

I always find it interesting to hear how people got into whatever their favourite genre of music is. In my case, as in yours, I discovered metal with a couple of friends in school. I was 9 when the Black Album was released but I never got beyond Metallica, Maiden, Megadeth and the likes until a friend lent me "Alive in Athens" in 1999 or 2000. I still enjoy their old stuff but for a number of reasons, not all related to the quality of the music, I've lost interest.

Anyway, moving on from there these followed pretty quickly:

Too bad they've become unlistenable in the last 15 years imo

and many more since then

criminally underrated imo

Thanks for the links and suggestions. I forgot to mention that Steven Wilson adds a playlist of the music discussed in each episode on his spotify page, which I believe you can listen to without an account as well.

Thanks @RoxRocks86 I'll try and do better for picture quality with my next post. Lighting makes it difficult to get a decent pic of this one and will be even worse for IHSH-33B

@Oaktavia thanks for the link, didn't know about this. At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta have been on my list for a while, I just never got round to giving them a proper listen.

Storm Corrosion didn't do that much for me when I listened to them. Maybe time to revisit.

@Aetas @goosehd You may already know this, so apologies if I am telling you yesterdays' news. Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness (his partner in No-Man) actually started a podcast called "The Album Years" in which they talk about their favourite albums from across the musical spectrum released in one particular year, with an emphasis on records that haven't necessarily been discussed and dissected to death

@Aetas thanks. There's a couple of people and bands who made me delve deeper into "obscure" 60ies and 70ies music such as Can, Neu! or King Crimson. Opeth and Steven Wilson are among them

My introduction to what would become my favourite band. 20th anniversary this year, too

My bad fit pics ain't gonna sell anything, but suffice to say the fabric is so nice in person. As with a few others here, I bought a lot of thrift store westerns in my twenties, usually baggy and in polyester. This is the deluxe version, and I look forward to putting some miles on it as we head into a very warm summer in my neck of the woods. I like it so much I ordered the indigo-yellow version as well. :-X

I think I can do worse for image quality, apologies all for that. First fit pic ever for me. very happy with the shirt
