Great vest, @Kfactor !

Thanks @henry_david the 888xhs was a bit tricky to size. Much thanks to @Paul9221 for turning me to the pant stretcher to aid in the break in process and give me a little room.

Heya Jeff!  Are you still using the stretcher or do you think that you got max stretch out of them?  The waist looks perfect in your picture, doesn't look tight at all.  Are they pretty comfortable throughout the day, now?

don't care for sashiko myself

I think the fabric looks and feels great but I've never seen it on anything heavy.  I once picked up a PBJ sashiko type III but returned it because IH has totally spoiled me when it comes to type III heft expectations :D  I can see how sashiko might not line up with the IH brand but I still think it could be an awesome fabric for a western or work shirt.

Thanks for the explanation, Reuben!

On another topic, I believe that it's been mentioned before (it must have), but I would love to see an IH fleece-lined hoodie.  I have a cheapie one that gets a ton of use when the temperature dips.

Sashiko has been popular with other brands lately.  Does H not care for it?  Or is it too expensive to produce, not hold up well, etc.?

Agreed that it's hard to tell with that lighting. Depends on how tight you like your jeans, too.  My are-the-knees-too-tight test involves riding a bike.  If you can ride a bike in them, they're not too tight.

Those look good!

I have to admit that I've purchased quite a few things off IG ads, and so far, everything has been pretty great.

I love my 14oz OD and have never gone past 21oz

Oh man, you really need to try some 25oz!

TiL!  Thanks you two!

They always say you can’t have everything. At least we have a place where we can express our desires any you can crush our dreams  :)

You know, I hate buffets because what I choose to put on my plate is never as good as what professional chefs put together.  I'm glad that Iron Heart makes what they think is best and not what I would choose, which would probably be 99% crap :D

Case-in-point, those SS/22 Wabash work jackets look SO much better than I ever would've imagined.

Sorry I'm late to the CPO suggestion party, but serge CPOs need a come-back!  I totally missed out on the olive and I always kick myself for it.

That's a great mug, @Anesthetist !  And dang, I need me some of those denim coasters!

I would soak before washing, turn inside out and don't spin.....

I only ever soak before washing denim when they first arrive -- that first soak.  Is there a benefit to soaking before washing long after?

Oh man, I've been on a real sweater kick so I've got some input.

The SOFTEST grey sweater that I have is by The Strike Gold.  Here it is on SE:  https://www.selfedge.com/strike-gold?product_id=813

I don't have the grey, but I have an oatmeal UES puca pucara and it's wonderful.  Here's the grey on R&H:  https://rivetandhide.com/ues-puca-pucara-loopwheeled-sweatshirt-grey.html

I have the black version of the Real McCoy's ballpark sweater.  It's not loopwheel but it's real meaty.
 Here's the grey on S&S:  https://standardandstrange.com/collections/knitwear/products/ball-park-12oz-crewneck-sweatshirt-medium-gray

I picked up the 3Sixteen heavyweight hoodie a few years back and it still gets a lot of use.  Here it is on SE:

Some other brands that I haven't tried but have heard good things about include Merz B. Schwanen, Telegraph, Warehouse.

If you're looking for something a little less expensive but of good quality, American Giant and Reigning Champ also make pretty good stuff.  I have a couple of their sweaters that I use for working out and just hanging out.

Hope that helps!
