Buying and Selling / Paul's IH, Buzz Rickson, Real McCoys Sale
« on: November 08, 2021, 12:51:03 am »
Hey guys, selling some stuff that doesn't fit me very well.  Pet-free (well, we have a parrot, but no cats or dogs), smoke-free home.

Will pay for shipping within CONUS.  Will pay up to $20 for shipping to the rest of the world if you help me fill out the paperwork.

Paypal (F&F or +3%).

None of this stuff has ever been washed unless explicitly mentioned.  Notice that I measure the shoulder straight across.  I've never been able to measure the shoulder like IH does :)

IHSH-234-CAM (XL).  I'm the second owner.  Previous owner said that one of the threads from the top button is missing.  I'm including a picture of it.  I never had issues with it but it should be a simple fix.  Asking $200.

  • P2P: 22.3"
  • length: 29.9"
  • sleeve: 26.25"
  • shoulder: 18.75"

  • shoulder: 17.75"

Buzz Rickson olive crewneck sweater (large) (as seen on https://www.selfedge.com/buzz-rickson?product_id=2721)

Love this sweater, so soft, not too heavy.  Only selling it because I sized incorrectly.  Hot washed/dried once; barely shrank.  Asking SOLD.

  • P2P: 22.1"
  • length: 24.6"
  • sleeve: 26"
  • shoulder: 17.75"

Buzz Rickson navy crewneck sweater (large) (as seen on https://www.selfedge.com/buzz-rickson?product_id=2754)

As with the olive, great sweater. Only selling it because I sized incorrectly.  Asking $100.

Going, Going, Gone.... / IHM-27-OLV Medium for IHM-27-OLV Large
« on: April 13, 2021, 09:38:29 pm »
Hey guys, I LOVE the idea of this jacket but got a medium on the small end of the spectrum that's tight in the pit/shoulder area, which means that it doesn't get the use that this jacket deserves.

Is there anyone out there with an IHM-27-OLV in large that would like to trade for a medium?  Or, maybe, hear me out here, someone with a very large medium (+22.9" P2P) that wants to trade for a smaller medium (22.5" P2P)?  I'm right in between sizes on this one.

If there's interest, I can post measurements.

Buying and Selling / WTB: IHSH-206-GRN XL
« on: March 01, 2021, 10:23:02 pm »
Looking for an IHSH-206-GRN in XL.  I have it in L but it's a bit tight.  If you have an XL that you're willing to part with, please let me know.

General Chat / Loopwheeled Sweatshirts
« on: December 01, 2020, 10:52:11 pm »
Like some sort of perverse squirrel, I stow away sweaters and jackets all year so that I can drape myself in them come the winter months.  I love the (California) winter :D

One of my favorite layering pieces is this The Strike Gold heavy loopwheeled sweatshirt that I picked up from Self Edge:

It's possibly the softest thing I own and it fits so well!

Do you guys have a favorite loopwheeled sweatshirt?

Accessories / Face Masks
« on: November 16, 2020, 10:00:38 pm »
Hey guys, I'm surprised that this thread doesn't already exist!

I've been hunting for a good face mask lately.  My wife sewed up a few for the family using some scrap fabric but I wanted something with a better looking fabric.

I picked up this Runabout Goods mask that's made out of 9oz Japanese woven wool/cotton blanket lining.  It looks great and is surprisingly easy to breathe through:

Here's their site:

Though I actually bought it through Urban EDC Supply here:

Buying and Selling / WTS: IH, Indigofera, Ship John medium shirts
« on: September 06, 2020, 01:04:53 am »
Hey everyone, I've got a few shirts for sale here.  They're all wonderful shirts that are a bit small on me.  With the exception of the Indigofera, I've re-purchased each of them one size up.  None of these have been washed nor do they have any stains or funky smells.

Shipping is free within the CONUS.  I'll split shipping with international folks if you don't mind walking me through how to fill out the forms :)

First up, Copeland Slim Fit Jacket - Dark Green Duck (Medium).  I purchased this from Standard & Strange back in January and while it's a lovely and practical shirt, it just never fit me right.  If you're built more like an elf than a dwarf, this shirt is right up your alley.  I don't think I ever wore this out of the house.  Here's some more info from Franklin and Poe:

P2P:  22.5"
Shoulder (straight across):  18.9" at the widest, 17.75" at the narrowest (see pics)
Sleeve:  27.1"
Length:  29.5"

Next, we have the IHSH-21-BLK.  Amazing work shirt.  Worn maybe once before I realized I needed to size up.

P2P:  22"
Shoulder (straight across):  17.3"
Sleeve:  25.1"
Length:  29.3"

And the IHSH-21-BLU.  Worn a couple of times out of the house before realizing that I needed to size up:

P2P:  21.6"
Shoulder:  17.4"
Sleeve:  24.75"
Length:  29.4"

Finally, one of my favorite shirts, the Ship John Townes Western Shirt - Tan Waxed Canvas.  Currently sold out in medium.  I wore this thing maybe 5 or 6 times before realizing sizing up might work better.  Still has tons of wax on it.  It's a fantastic color that goes great with blue or black jeans and the brass buttons are amazing!  Read more here:

P2P:  21.75"
Shoulder:  16.75"
Sleeve:  24.5"
Length:  28.4"

Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for looking!

Buying and Selling / WTB: IHSH-234 KERSEY CAMEL (L or XL)
« on: August 30, 2020, 06:52:19 am »
Hey guys, I missed out on this shirt and would love to get my hands on it.  If you have one that you'd be willing to sell, I'm looking for a L or XL, depending on measurements.  Hit me up.

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS: IH-888s (32)
« on: October 12, 2019, 09:57:32 pm »
Hey guys, I bought these back in January and within days realized that I should've sized down.  Well, I don't feel so bad if it means one of you guys get a great deal on these jeans.

I had these hemmed at a local shop to 30.5".  They did a fine job but they didn't use the same color on the inside of the hem (check the pictures).  These probably have about 10 wears on them.  No washes, and I'm pretty sure they've had no soaks (can't recall).  No pets, no smoke.  Free CONUS shipping.  If you're outside of the US, send me a PM.

Looking for SOLD

So that you know how much they've stretched and so that you can figure out how much stretch they have left, here are the original measurements from IH:
  • Waist:  32.4"
  • Thigh:  12.5"

Below are the current measurements:
  • Waist:  33.0"
  • Thigh:  13.0"
  • Inseam:  30.5"

Let me know if you have any questions!

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS: Large Jackets
« on: October 12, 2019, 09:45:56 pm »
Hey guys, welcome to my jacket sale!  Only two items up for grabs, so please stand in a single file line.  No pushing!

We have a pet-free, smoke-free home and all of the clothes below are stainless.  Shipping is on me in the CONUS.  If you're interested but not in the US, send me a PM and we can figure something out.

First up is the Stevenson Overall Co brown flight jacket with alpaca lining in size 40 (L).  I bought this from Self Edge in December 2015 for $695.  Of all of the items that I'm listing today (check out my medium shirts thread https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=13395.0), this is the one that pains me most to part with; alas, in Southern California, and it just doesn't get enough use.  One of the things that I loved about this jacket is its color, it's so hard to find jackets in this shade of brown.  It has two internal pockets, two external pockets and is in amazing shape:  TRADED

Some posts about this jacket:

  • Shoulder:  19"
  • P2P:  22"
  • Length:  25.75"
  • Sleeve:  23" to the beginning of the stretchy material, about 25.5" including it (check the picture)

Next up is this wonderful 10oz waxed canvas riders jacket in taupe from Freenote Cloth.  I paid $400 for this back in February from Blue Owl and just am not giving it enough wear.  The color is hard to describe but it's like a dusty light brown.  The inside of this jacket is beautifully lined (if you know me, you know I love lined shirts and jackets) with a wild Navajo pattern.  It comes with fully functional elastic shoulder gussets (check the pics) and has two breast pockets and two hand pockets on the outside, one internal pocket on the left.  Don't be fooled by the 10oz, this thing's heavy!   SOLD

Link to the jacket on Blue Owl's site:

  • Shoulder (straight across):  19.125"
  • P2P:  22.5"
  • Length:  26.25"
  • Sleeve:  25.75"

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS: Medium Shirts
« on: October 12, 2019, 09:22:05 pm »
Hey guys, I know what you must be thinking "Oh my goodness, this sale is amazing, how quickly can I give Paul all of my money for these fabulous items?!" but keep your cash in your pockets for a sec, let me explain why I'm choosing to part with these amazing shirts.  I'm selling these shirts because I'm one of those between-medium-and-large guys and while I tried to make these work in a medium, it was just not a great look.  I wish I could replace all of these with their large counterparts (if you have them and you want to trade, hit me up) but most of them are no longer available and the ones that are available I've already replaced.  My weird body shape means great deals for you!

We have a pet-free, smoke-free home and all of the clothes below are stainless and still have their chainstich run-off (when applicable).  Shipping is on me in the CONUS.  If you're interested but not in the US, send me a PM and we can figure something out.

I have a hard time figuring out how to measure the shoulder the Iron Heart way so I just measure it straight across.  I've included a picture of the measuring tape across the shoulder for just about every listing just to make sure you understand how I'm measuring it.

First up, the IHSH-187-OLV.  I bought this used from one of the forum members on here.  At first, I thought "Bah!  This shirt's too light!" but during the summer months, I really appreciated it, and it's such a grand color!  And don't be fooled into thinking light means weak, this stuff is tough!  This is definitely one of those shirts I wish I could find in large.  This shirt has about 3 wears on it from me (can't speak to previous owner) and is in wonderful condition:  SOLD

  • Shoulder (straight acrosss):  17.5"
  • P2P:  21.25"
  • Length:  28.75"
  • Sleeve:  25.55"

Next, we have the IHW-04.  This is yet another item I wish I could trade for a size up as I have such a soft spot in my heart for CPOs.  I know it's not technically a CPO but I call any shirt with side-pockets a CPO, so bear with me.  I bought this from a forum member about a year ago but never got the chance to wear it because it was just too tight of a fit.  The wool is a lovely dark navy that feels great:  SOLD

  • Shoulder (straight across):  17.65"
  • P2P:  21.25"
  • Length:  28.65"
  • Sleeve:  25.3"

The Johnny Cash III (IHSH-218) is next.  This shirt needs no introduction!  I was able to buy this one in a large and that's the only reason I'm selling it.  If you don't already have this shirt and this fits you, you NEED it!  It's just heavy enough to feel sturdy but light enough that you can wear it on a warm day without breaking a sweat.  This one has about 10 wears on it and 1 wash.  Great shape!  SOLD

  • Shoulder (straight across):  16.75"
  • P2P:  21.55"
  • Length:  30"
  • Sleeve:  25.5"

Yet another shirt that I loved so much that when I realized that I should've sized up, I turned around and bought the next size up:  IHSH-62-WHT.  I know what you're thinking "I'm too messy to have a white shirt, but it looks amazing!"  I'm a bearded, coffee drinking individual and even I managed not to get this shirt dirty, I believe you can keep it clean, too.  I had this one pimped out with copper (the best) snaps and it's honestly beautiful.  Probably the shirt I get the most compliments on.  Probably about 3 wears:  SOLD

  • Shoulder (straight across):  16.5"
  • P2P:  21.5"
  • Length:  29.25"
  • Sleeve:  25"

Finally, the only shirt in this sale that was too big on me, the IHSH-96 waffle work shirt.  My camera doesn't do the indigo justice, and the red chainstich offers a great contrast.  This is a beautiful shirt that's very light and breathable.  I'm the second owner, bought this from a forum member, I only wore it once.  It's in wonderful shape:  $125

  • Shoulder (straight across):  17.75"
  • P2P:  22.5"
  • Length:  29"
  • Sleeve:  25.8"

If you guys have any questions, let me know!

The Resource Centre / 21oz Waist Stretch Advice Needed
« on: September 07, 2019, 07:55:41 pm »
Heya fine forum folks!  I could use some of your sage advice.

I picked up a lovely pair of 888s-SB with a waist line a little narrower than usual.  After about a week's worth of wear, I've taken the waistline from 30.5" to 31.8" and they're practically perfect.  Unfortunately, they don't seem to be stretching any more in the waist from normal wear.  I'd love it if I could get another like 0.25" of stretch out of these.  I'm sure I'm already pushing my luck on the waistline but if any of you have any advice on how I could get just a little more waist stretch, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks a bunch!

Going, Going, Gone.... / Ship John Waxed Townes Shirt (L)
« on: August 03, 2019, 11:40:27 pm »
Hey guys, I'm looking to sell this sold-out Ship John Waxed Townes Shirt in a size large.

I can't say enough good things about this shirt.  The only reason that I'm selling this one is because the medium fits me better.  I bought the large a couple of weeks ago because I kept wondering if it would fit better than the medium I already had (I'm always between sizes) but quickly saw that it was too large for me.  Never worn out of the house.

10oz waxed canvas shirt in tan with beautiful brass cymbal snaps.  It's the perfect shirt to throw on over a t-shirt or over a flannel if you've got enough room.

Check out the product page here:

Paid $250, would like to get $200 (Paypal F&F) if possible.  Free shipping in CONUS.  Message me if you're outside of the US.

  • chest:  22.5"
  • sleeve:  25.5"
  • shoulder (measured straight across):  17.3"
  • overall length:  30.5"

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS/FT: IHSH-87 Medium
« on: May 27, 2019, 11:43:54 pm »
Hey guys, I bought this medium IHSH-87 from @Matt about 3 weeks ago hoping that it would fit (I usually take a large).  Unfortunately, it's small on me, soooo if you happen to have a size large and you want to size down, let's trade!  Otherwise, I paid $200 for it but will take $180 (includes shipping in CONUS).  If you're interested, let me know.

Adding some pictures and measurements:

  • chest: 21.25"
  • sleeve:  25"
  • shoulder (measured straight across): 17.5"
  • length:  28.5"

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS: IHJ-69 Khaki in Medium
« on: June 02, 2018, 10:39:28 pm »
Heya everyone, I don't think I have to tell you how awesome this jacket is.  The only reason I'm selling is that I bought the IHJ-69 in a medium and large because I'm one of those lucky folks that's right on the fence between those sizes.  In the end, I decided to keep the large as the medium was just a wee bit small on me.

The medium has been worn only two times.  We don't have pets and I don't smoke.  It's super clean!

I'm looking for $225 and will include shipping in CONUS.

  • chest:  20 7/8"
  • sleeve:  24 7/8"
  • length:  24 1/4"

Going, Going, Gone.... / FS: IH-816 Beige & Navy Size 36
« on: May 28, 2018, 09:35:11 pm »
Hey guys, I lost a bunch of weight and just can't rock these anymore.  Both clean, no pets, no smoke.

I wore the beige about 5 times for semi-formal stuff.  Probably about the same for the navy.  You can see a little bit of fade where I kept my wallet in my front pocket (you can see it on the picture) on the navy.

My wife hemmed the beige for me.  She did a clean job, but she doesn't have the monster sewing machine that the IHUK crew, just so you know.

The navy is unhemmed.

Looking for $150 for each of them, free shipping within CONUS.

Navy measurements
  • waist:  36.5"
  • thigh:  13.75"
  • inseam:  35.75"

Beige measurements
  • waist:  36.5"
  • thigh:  14"
  • inseam:  29.6"
  • hem:  9.3"

Pics (awesome racecar carpet NOT for sale, ya jackals!):
