Going, Going, Gone.... / **Sold**TW-666N 34
« on: January 24, 2022, 06:46:04 pm »
I’m going to regret this but it’s time to move these along.  They’re a size or two too big for me now and won’t see much wear in the future.  They’re well worn and very loved.  One small hole where the top fly button rubs against the fabric as shown in photos.  Tons of life left.  Measurements are consistent with the product page but I can provide specifics upon request.

Asking $175 shipped in CONUS.  Will get a shipping quote for international interest. If no one’s interested I’ll move them to IHUK for RELOVE so get after them now for a steal.

Be gentle… :'(

Going, Going, Gone.... / Harley Davidson Dealer Tees Size Large
« on: April 18, 2021, 10:41:33 pm »
I came across some of my father-in-law’s size L Harley tees today.  He’s a M now and have let them to me.  His loss is your gain.  All are in good condition, a few appear hardly worn at all.

$15 each shipped CONUS. If you buy 3 or more, $10 each shipped.  If you want the whole lot I’ll send it to you for $100 along with a free 2009 Sturgis tee pictured at the bottom.  Pay Pal please.

If you reach out quickly I’m not going to respond right away as I’d like to leave it up long enough to see if anyone is interested in the lot.  I’ll mark your request and place in line and get back to you by Tuesday.   Hope you understand.  Thanks for looking.

Doing an interest check on these.  I have all 3 pairs with boxes.  If you’ve never had or heard of Knockaround check them out.  Great sunglasses for a great price.

I’d let these go for $40 for the 3 pairs.  Let me know.

Buying and Selling / English Bridle Leather Hoof Pick Belt
« on: April 02, 2021, 11:09:09 pm »
I bought this about 7 years ago from a company called Sole Survivor.  They no longer sell it and I can’t recall what I paid.  Similar belts online are in the $50 range.  Made in USA.  Size 36 which I used when I comfortably wore size 34 jeans.  Worn sparingly as I never had boots that matched.  Now I’ve shrunk so only having 3 loop options doesn’t work for me.  I can’t provide much more than that other than the distance from the pick to each loop is 35.5”, 36.5” and 37.5”   $35 shipped in the CONUS via Pay Pal f&f or add 4%.  Thanks for looking.

Going, Going, Gone.... / **Sold**$75 Voucher for $70
« on: April 28, 2020, 07:55:14 pm »
Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me out.  I have a $75 voucher that I'm not likely going to be able to use any time soon.  I've checked with Giles and it's ok to transfer it if someone wants to save $5 on their next purchase.  Just let me know.  You can send me $70 via Pay Pal as friends/family and I'll DM you the code.

About 2 years ago I was having a hard time, both at work and at home.  My job as an insurance adjuster is highly dependent upon the weather and if you know anything about Maryland or the mid-Atlantic region of the US, you know the weather is usually awful.  It's too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter and too wet the rest of the time.  I've never found a professional "calling" and at 41 I resigned myself to likely not finding one ever.  I was not much fun to be around.

My wife did her best to keep my spirits up but I couldn't help feeling like I was missing something.  I started resenting working for a big company doing a job that wasn't meaningful to me.  I resented living in a house filled with stuff I didn't really need.  I seriously resented that everyone around me seemed like they were exactly where they wanted to be, and I wanted to be anywhere else.

Then one evening my wife said something to the effect of, "Let's sell all our shit, quit our jobs, buy a tiny house on wheels and get out of here..."

I didn't hesitate or question her suggestion.  It didn't occur to me that she might be joking.  I told her it was the greatest idea I'd ever heard and if she was into it, it had to be right.

We have been saving money instead of spending it, we've been selling all the junk that lived permanently in our basement, we've been slowly but systematically preparing the kids emotionally for such a huge change.  People either roll their eyes at us or tell us how jealous they are when we explain our plan.  There's no in between reaction.

Fast forward to present day.  The house is under contract, our Airstream is parked at my father in law's awaiting the arrival of a composting toilet and I'm on the lookout for a gently used Ford F-250.

It's really happening.

So I'd like to formally introduce you to this thread that I'll update as often as is practical.  It will be a sort of journal chronicling the adventures my wife Katie, my 8 and 6  year old daughters and our Airstream, The Tin Palace are about to embark on as we try a slightly different approach to achieving family happiness.

We won't leave until July and the COVID-19 drama may or may not push our timeline up a bit but we brought The Tin Palace home today so I felt like this was a good place to start.  Enjoy!
