From O'Douds I went with the Traditional Heavy Pomade
From Shear Revival I grabbed Gray Ghost, Gel Pomade, Crystal Lake and the texture spray.

I forgot to mention I have also been trying out Modern Pirate, not blown away but the scents are nice and organic ingredients mostly. Not a huge fan of the washability of it, but that's more my OCD than actual performance I think  :D

Thanks @Matt!! As soon as I said grease I realized the error in my ways as I WAY prefer the water based pomades to the petroleum based ones. I just can't make that jump especially when my hair has any real length to it, which it generally does. However, I do like the term grease so I lump all the pomades into that category, right or wrong...

I checked out the Shear Revival and put in a order for 3 different poms and a texture spray. Then I checked out O'Douds and grabbed one of theirs, plus that copper comb, that thing looks rad :D

Anyway, that should set me up for a little while!

Reuzel is nice enough for what it is and works well but I am WAY more stoked to check out these Home Brews as you guys call them. I like to level up when I can  ;)

I really just started getting to know pomades and really using them in the last year or so. I started with, King Snake, not a fan. Tried Lay-Rite, it was okay and then got on the Ruezel train. I really like some of it but would love to find better if it’s out there. Matt or anyone else care to compare some of these latest suggestions to Ruezel I’d be really grateful. If it helps, I really use the Grey tin of Ruezel, super high hold but still easy to wash out, ie water based. FWIW My hair is stick straight and needs some serious grease to keep it where I want it LOL

Nice piece of equipment you got yourself @goosehd, it will serve you well for many many km. I believe a good HRM such as a polar H10 or the Garmin Pro and a good gym timer https://gymboss.com/?SID=31feb25c47e675b6725b14d03ce4ff7d are two of the most useful training tools one can own. The rest just comes down to motivation and determination.

@mclaincausey I trained the FTP method for about 2 years. I didn't see any huge performance increases vs. HR training but I felt awesome after training and definitely didn't lose any ground. I really liked doing it!!

Other Brands and Shops / Re: Grease Point Workwear

Hey @Nkwkfld I have a pair of both and they are just two totally different things. The work jeans from GPW are really similar to a logger jean, IH makes one, Carhartt is pretty famous for theirs. The 888 is a glorious and comfortable 5 pocket jean with a pretty high rise, room in the thigh and a nice taper that doesn’t turn into a tiny leg opening. It's one of my favorites honestly.

A completely different beast.  This is the softest stuff you are ever likely to have felt, it is, it is washable and a bit lighter...

Great Information, thank you @Giles. How does the softness/weight compare to the natural one that is being sampled currently?
