Heavy Weight Contests & Competitions / Re: DWC2 - 2017 - 2019

Its been two weeks from my last post, school has been busy as shit, missed official Nov 1st start shots, but hey, only been two weeks since my last post :)

So, I found these on the camera, forgot I took them, they were dated 10.25.17 so 2.5 weeks in.  Selfie shot in a mirror right before work.

These are from tonight, couple more in the pics thread, 11.6.17.  I missed the first official day of the contest, sorry, but I have pics from initial wear in the main thread from when I started them on 10.7.17. So I guess these are one month pics.  I'll do an official 5 week pics this weekend when I can be around for some natural light.

Same light, taken minutes apart, just how the camera read the setting, I'm sure you can mess with editing software, but I'm not that smart. Just showing the difference the shot can make in terms of how the jeans look. Got some combs action going on already.

You can see the dog paw print on my knee, I just did a soak yesterday, which would have been number 6, get to do one again tonight.  Thanks dog.

They are double thread. One blue one white! [im width=640 height=426]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171027/a9387521e23cdca4d0f6832c7cb85438.jpg[/img]

@Vagrant Those look awesome! Did they stand up on their own??  :D The stitching on the back pockets are blue, or is that just the lighting?
Crazy, right?  They were ready to walk off on their own accord.  Had a good wrestle with them prior to the second set of photos. As for the arcs, as @Brock mentioned, they're a standout blue/white.  It's a nice touch.

They are quite nice now, I I hope the white ages well once the pockets fade!

I like this idea of the most least impressive fade lol.  Easy to win though...just buy a pair and dont wear them for two years yeah?

Prize is 1 peso and a participation trophey

It is!  The general consensus has been that this fabric will be too warm for me in Phx...I also absolutely do NOT need another pair of Indigo heavyweight denim...but damn it looks like an awesome fabric that will never be made again and it's in the 888 cut.

suck it up, rock some high-ish cuffs, it's like air conditioning

Just pinged out the Paypal so one of you lucky folks will get my $$ when the contest ends. This time I shall be failing to fade some Momotaro 0205TN 10th Anniversary jawns. Soaked once and worn a few times, pictures to follow when I can get my ass in gear.

we should have a Most Least Impressive Fade category. think i’d give you a run for your money.

ohhh I like this category, Most Least Impressive Fade for an active participant

Don't have to do anything but wear them!

@fanya Just wondering why you soak it so many times? (curious  :)  )
I was wondering the same thing, but everyone has different methods I guess... He's got some amazing honeycombs showing already, so maybe he's onto something?? (That is one area that never developed well for me in the past)

I did an initial soak (Friday the 6th), and a 2nd soak 2 days after because there were a couple creases I was trying to massage out (the 8th).  Then a 3rd soak Thurs the 12th because I forget why. And then Sunday the 15th because clean for the work week.  And again on the 22nd to be clean for the work week, and well they were dirty as shit from leaf vacuuming.

But as to the general why of how come so many soaks, that's a pretty deep rabbit hole question, and probably make me look crazy.

But, I'll make a lengthier post as to the why, at the end of the week or two, when I get time, maybe Sunday during the football game if school goes well. (so I can grab some pictures as well) (I haven't forgot about it @Matty123 )

But I do weekly soaks if at all possible, especially if they are worn daily.

@Megatron1505 sounds like a great mix for a dog  :D

I'm not much of a fan of type III in denim for some reason, but this jacket is killer.

@cander49 great look, what boots are those?

2 weeks, 1 day, 4 soaks.

I got bruises on my hips from the last couple weeks, every time they seem to soften up a little I do a soak and it is right back to bruise city.

Just got done with soak 5, I did some leave vacuuming Friday night (ya, I know how to party), and that was/is a dirty dusty mess, so I consequently was a dirty/dusty mess.

(sorry about the dog hair, German Shepherds do that)

Leaves, oh the tip of the iceberg, just wanted to get up the first big batch as it is supposed to raid for 4 days here.

I'm so glad the 666 cut doesn't work for me.  Because then I'd have to make choices between eating and getting these.
