Thanks @tvenuto for being a great seller. The shirt arrived today and I'm in love with it!

I think medium is better

Looks like I wont have to give into temptation since almost everything is sold out.

I'm desperately trying to resist the temptation from buying another UHF since I already have 5 but I fear it may be a losing battle.

Does the gray come in a work shirt version or only flannel?

Here are some fit pics post hem. I'm very pleased. I've always wanted a pair of flathead jeans but could never find anything that fit me properly and am very excited to start wearing these. I'm not used to wearing jeans so "light" either. My only qualm is that my recently purchased 666s will probably be taking a back seat to these until it starts getting colder.

Post soak fit pics. Measurements are as now follows:

W 35.5
FR 11
BR 14
Thigh 12.75
Knee 8.75
Hem 8
Inseam 35

Any thoughts on the fit? Do you guys think I got all the shrinkage out?

Jeans have been soaked and are drying...I'll see how much they shrink first but will probably end up taking your suggestion and doing the hot wash.

Pre-soak measurements BIG style:

Tag size 38-
W 37.5
FR 11.5
BR 15.25
Thigh 13.25
Knee: 9.4
LO: 8.5
Inseam: 38

Going to do a luke warm soak for an hour and see how it goes. If I can get the waist down to 36 and thigh to 12.8 I'm a happy man.

Thanks ben. No opportunity to exchange. I'm looking for a slim tapered fit as opposed to a straight leg hence the 3002 fit. Do you know how much shrinkage I can expect from the though and knees though?

Yes Ben - I seek your grandmaster wisdom.

I got inspired by @itsbenhere sick fadez on his 3005 and picked up a pair of TFH 3002 at Take 5 in Hong Kong. These are my first pair of flatheads and my first experience dealing with the pioneer denim. I got a tag size 38 because I read that the pioneer denim is known to shrink quite a bit after soaking (for reference I'm a size 36 for my IH 666s).

Here is a pre-soak fit pic. Any opinions on the fit and soaking advice?

Anyone have a pic of the charcoal next to the IHSH85?

If all you did was put them in a tub of warm water, no.  You need to agitate.  Even then, with just one soak you may not have got all the shrinkage out.

I actually did agitate while soaking... Based on my post soak measurements do I have a lot more shrinkage left?
