GOOD ART HLYWD / Re: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery

The pendant is the PL Clip which is rather small given the price. I was originally a little let down BUT it’s so detailed the price makes sense. I think there are 4 pieces cast for it alone. Kinda nuts.

The ring I sadly dont know much about. It’s an older piece that I bought from a very reputable seller on Ebay years ago. It’s a great ring but slightly too large on my finger except for the summer. I’ve been told it’s a Model 7 ring but cant confirm that.

What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT) / Re: EDC - What's In Your Pockets?

I’ve had a closer look. I can’t see that the knife you’re buying qualifies as something on the banned list. The length of the blade and the flick mechanism means you can’t carry it, but buying it, or indeed selling it to someone over 18 is legal.

The page does recommend that you ring to a police station if you’re unsure

Great stuff! I was going to ring and check today just to be sure!

As you say I was confident in it not being on the list before purchasing as it doesn’t seem to match any of the banned criteria.

I then read afterwards on another forum that it’s down to customs to decide wether the “flipper” mechanism may be classed as illegal for some reason. This then got me worried as I’d read the government guide lines and it seemed ok. As I say the law is pretty vague it seems and hard to find real answers.

Anything non-locking with a blade length less than 3 inches you can carry at your discretion.

I would steer clear of anything else, unless you have good reason to carry (i.e work). Otherwise just not worth the risk.

I have a UK legal hinderer. Check out Heinnie.com

Quick update after a few trips w the Balian. It does hold more than I thought. This am I was able to fit in a half pound of coffee and a small Swell bottle (in addition to my other edc junk) without any issue.

I just got my Bedouin Balian Sling fresh from the UK last night. It was originally a carryology collaboration but that run sold out almost instantaneously.

This bag is not as exclusive and doesnt have the orange drill interior but is otherwise the same specs. Dyneema, tumbled Italian leather, and AustriAlpin buckles. It only holds the essentials but is a really comfortable and slick little bag. I’m really thrilled with it.

Hmmmm, been eyeing this one up!

How much can it hold? Worth getting?

Want to Buy / Re: WTB a nice knife (prefereably new)
« on: January 18, 2020, 06:00:14 pm »
Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a nice pocket knife in excellent or new condition. Let me know if anyone's got one for sale.

I know basically nothing about knives, so i'm hoping someone here has a nice one they can sell me haha.

Thanks

As chap above said, where do you live and want do you want it for?

For example, if you live in the UK and want an EDC then you would need a non-locking knife with a blade length of less than 3 inches. Guessing from your name you live in the states but the choices are very broad and will, as ever, depend upon the specifics.

Painted this for a friend who fucking loves Snoopy and rave culture.

Really love the style of Mark Drew’s work (aka Mark Chronic) so this is inspired by him.

Only the second time I have ever painted so nothing snazzy but was good fun in the end. Acrylic on box canvas.

I found it to be true to size. Could easily wear a tshirt and an IH shirt under it but in no way could I fit an IH hoodie underneath.

I have the Clayton veg tan horsehide and although it is heavy as fuck to start with, it certainly gets more comfortable over time.

Debs is great and she will provide advice on fit etc and will also send you some leather samples etc. She was incredibly insightful and accommodating when I asked loads of annoying questions!

Now I need to decide whether to chop the arms or not. I like the light weight and fit, but the sleeves are way too long.

Looks great overall. Personally I would get the sleeves shortened if you are not happy with them. I did with mine. Found a great tailor who was able to deconstruct and reconstruct the original cuffs to maintain the zip and chambray lining.  Although it cost me a fair chunk of cash, it was certainly worth it!
