Fall/Winter 2017 - Sketches
-
^^ yes, indeed.
-
Very cool. Thanks for letting us peek into the process.
-
damn. i really love seeing sketches like this..
-
Have you guys ever considered releasing a book (photo-centric)? Would be great to see the history of IH, mills Haraki visits, his design process and how it's changed over the years (including stuff like these sketches). Printing might be expensive for high quality images, but I bet it'd sell well.

@Giles please explain the 16oz classic denim that I'm sure I'm going to have to buy.
-
What about the Eco denim? @Giles

Love the iPad pics. Keep them coming. I love all the insider information. It's like we're all there throughout the whole process. I love being able to tell people that I've been waiting for my particular item since the sample swatch, or piece, and the evolution of it into production makes it that more sentimental to me

It's H-talk/"lost in translation" for 16oz Vintage. It will be a lighter version of the 18oz Vintage we already do (IH-634S-18 & IH-666S-18)…
oh that sounds great. Theres another item added to my list.

Pretty much exactly what I was afraid of.
It never ends with you guys.

The warp and weft made form 60% recycled cotton (the spare bits from a bolt of cotton that are left over when the pattern is cut), woven into a 14oz indigo selvedge denim. As there was quite a lot of weft show through on the original sample, the weft has been dyed brown…
-
18 oz brown weft denim using recycled cotton? Now that sounds intriguing.

i hope the 16oz vintage comes in something non-thigh-restrictive (i.e. 634-888) and not just 555/666.
it would be interesting to see if the 16oz crocks as easily as the 18oz does… it would be cool if it held onto its indigo a little more so it could withstand regular washing like a lot of repro/"vintage" denim does.
