Pre-Ordered a Tan Waxed Townes. Went with an XL based on the PtP measurements. Take an XXL in IH shirts.

Thanks Paul! It‘s the V2 (sanforized) version; as expected almost no shrinkage in this so the measurements given on the website reflect reality.
At least to my experience with the Guthries there are some variations in measurements; my denims came in about half an inch tighter in the butt area compared to the table, the tans were spot on. But as always, these are handcut and -sewn so that‘s ok wirh me.
Back to the shirts. For me, sizing down one compared to IH sizing works pretty fine and still leaves a bit more room to move around. In addition, the SJ shirts are cut longer in the body than IH which in sum makes a great work shirt!

Anyone own a tan waxed Townes and an IHSH-33? I wear an L in my 33 and 33-t.

Medium Townes would be perfect for P2P, but I'm worried about that shoulder measurement of 17". I like my shoulders to be at least 18". Seems like a lot of guys with different builds are able to fit into the Townes just fine, though, so I wanted to see if anyone owned both and could compare.

I own two 33s,and ordered a Townes. As soon as I get it I’ll let you know. Could be awhile. Sized down to XL from my IH XXL size.

Thanks @Jett129 . Wanted to get in on the preorder that ends Friday, but I may have to play it safe and just wait for them to be in stock.

The PtP measurement trumps all the others for me,and the L was too small, and the XXL too big,so I decided to roll the dice and hope it works out. Think it’s a really cool shirt, and as a lifelong drummer,I have to have a shirt that has cymbal snaps.

yes, go for P2P... arms and body are a tad longer but for me the body (P2P) rules...

I don’t think I went to the summit, went as far up as the road takes you to I think a lodge of sorts.
