I rly dig it,
@68degreesorless. I've had a dumb phone of one kind or another for the last five years with good effect. It was hard for several reasons:
- no GPS
- no rideshare
- no email
- no MMS/group chats
Once I schooled my buds on not sending me photos or including me in group texts, it was smoother sailing. I then memorized the # of a local taxi service (415 333 3333 isn't all that hard lol) and began consulting Google Maps before leaving the house, writing down the turn-by-turn directions fo reference. I'd often end up not needing them as writing them down led to some sorta memory retention.
Overall, I would totally recommend it. I don't feel so beholden to being in constant communication all the time.
