Fading on heavyweight flannels
« on: October 29, 2018, 09:08:37 pm »
I have noticed some pics of well worn heavyweight flannels and they look AWESOME!

Will all of them fade over time? Are there any tips regarding how to get them to fade, but not shrink much?

Recently bought the purple buffalo western and am looking at the green glennplaid workshirt. Much prefer them when they look worn and the colors have faded some.

Thanks for any insight.

Hang them out in the sun. I had a shirt hanging next to a window and it faded dramatically on one side...

They all fade. @gaseousclay is right, wear and wash. Although as long as you wash on low temps and air dry to avoid shrinkage, you can really wash as often as you like.
