IHJ-84-BEI - 12oz Selvedge Chino Type II Jacket – Beige
This is our interpretation of the Type II jacket that Levi’s released in 1953. Slightly longer in the body and less boxy than the original Type II, this Iron Heart version is constructed from our 12oz selvedge chino fabric, and sewn together with super-strong poly/cotton constructional stitching. This release has no cinch-back buckle.
XS - 4XL
USD385
Available at 16:00GMT on Friday 20th of March (subject to change)

Not sure which I like better… I think the black is amazing, but the beige looks so good on @Sam. I think the material suits this style and cut perfectly.
Agreed, an awesome looking piece in perfectly suited material. Its a tough call between beige & black but I think right now its beige that's the winner for me. Great work Iron Heart

It does have a nice drape to it @neph93 and colour of the beige is interesting. Quite cool, colour temperature-wise, and changes ever so slightly in different lights.
It was a fiddle to get it right. Those of you with eagle eyes may have noticed I changed the pictures yesterday. Since I'm editing at home I got the colour totally wrong on my first attempt because i didn't have the jacket with me while editing. I'm pretty happy with it now though
I'd have the beige one in a heartbeat.

Could you please check the sizing in S. Is the sleeve length really shorter than in XS.
Nice type II. Like the colour. -

Nice type II. Like the colour. This is confirmed correct. We only have 1 XS and the S measurements are an average of the full measurements of 2 pieces so if you would like us to look for an S that may be a tad shorter or longer than the chat, add a note to the order when they go live.
Can't wait to see these in the flesh, I've got a lot of stuff to try on when I get back into the office.

Beige will look killer with some wear & dirt IMO. Black looks great too. Tough choice between this and the upcoming denim version

This is definitely a Pandemic Madness Question but I wonder if you could wax this jacket, how that would take, what it would involve, and if that is just plain stupid. Asking for a friend. He's enjoying the great indoors not quite yet in a padded room.

You could wax it. It may take OK. Chino is a fairly even, tight weave normall, but is also smooth. Canvas is the normal choice for a waxing. Canvas is a tight and even, but has more of a texture. I don’t know if that plays a role in how the wax adheres to the fabric. It may well do. As for how to do, heat a tub of wax brush it on and dry it it the standard way.
One thing, as this is a type II and has pleats, seams and pockets out the kazoo, it may be a difficult job to do well.

Getting real Indy vibes from this one.

Why this one ended up in the outlet is beyond me ::)

Wearing my new Iron Heart Type 2 jacket. Very happy with how it fits. Thanks Giles for the advise!
My wife was asking me after seeing this jacket, why I like Iron Heart so much ( I now have 2 flannels, 1 wabash work shirt and one western denim shirt. No jeans yet!). I’m not sure how to answer that, apart from the great quality, design and comfortable wear…
