karve seed
What are these flavour wise?
You may know it already as Persian cumin or caraway seed. Earthy, aromatic and similar to fennel seeds, but with a stronger taste of liquorice. They use it to flavour akevit and pickled herring up here.

G the bread you gifted me years ago was fantastic... Honestly: for me there's nowt better than some slices of outstanding sourdesem bread, salted butter, good cheese, and an excellent bottle of red...

@Giles I wouldn't put it past you to start milling your own grain at some point!

@Giles if you're done with those 73 leafs of bread and want to go ahead:

best mills are from Austria ;)
God has blessed you richly, so get down on your knees and thank him. Don’t forget the less fortunate or God will personally kick your ass. I’d love to do it for him, but I can’t be everywhere. Willie Nelson

Ah yes, caraway seeds - I use it with braised cabbage quite a bit to bring that to life a little

Same. They do really well in this paired with the mustard seed and contrasted with the sweetness of caramelised red onions and sweet potatoes.

Today I heard they're shutting down Liquor stores, so I did an inventory."20200318_134401.jpg""20200318_134536.jpg""20200318_134557.jpg""20200318_134621.jpg""20200318_134637.jpg""20200318_134704.jpg""20200318_134712.jpg""20200318_134737.jpg""20200318_134743.jpg"  Received a case of Rombauer Zinfandel, one of my favorites.
