My new washer has no agitator so I’m pumped.  Sadly we did not spring for the model that has a Premium Denim setting!?!?

We’ve been getting our new resident logistics together for the past week.  So far our kids are getting free breakfast and lunch at school and we’re on Medicaid because we haven’t worked for a year.   Excuse me while I put on my $400 pair of jeans so I can sit on my new couch and watch my robot vacuum clean while I watch my new QLED 4K tv.   :-*

Just do it, Matt! I tumble dry all my denim. May cause a little shrinkage, but no detrimental effects. Spin cycle in the washer is what can be tricky. But with inside-out pre-submerged(wet) denim, even that is usually nbd.
This is the way.

I dried my jeans and they didn’t explode.  It really brought out the fades actually.

The Tin Palace and I will be leaving for her new home in Chicago tomorrow. Then it’s on to Maryland to see family and retrieve belongings.  I’ll try to post some over the next few days.  Mixed feelings.  Got my first shot today and my new drivers license so it’s all settling in.  I’ll miss this thread.  It’s been fun.

13 hour drive today through NM, TX, OK and MO.  Not a single photo taken.  Coffee and popcorn only.  Two days left to go.   :'(

Am sure the aftermath of that would not be a pretty sight - thanks for saving us from that scene.

I accidentally took a wrong turn off an exit in St Louis yesterday and found myself in the middle of a National Park...

As an aside, I don’t recommend driving 2000 miles in 2 days.  I feel awful.   It was striking to see the transition from spring in the desert to spring in the East.  I haven’t seen green in a while.  The Tin Palace has been moved along to a new home and we’re grateful for our time with her.  She’ll be living on a farm with plenty of room to run and play.  Goodbye old friend.  Thanks for the memories.

For as many beautiful things I’ve seen on the road, I can’t discount the beautiful things available at home...
