THE CLADDAGH RING

THE CLADDAGH RING
Thank God for the Irish. Of course there’s lots more to it than that, but what a place to start. Many of my oldest, fiercest, most loyal and sharp witted family and friends wear their Celtic heritage proudly (and loudly). You seemingly don’t even have to be born there to be welcomed into the fold. This could be one of those if you know you know, things, but to the rye smiles of agreement, this Buds for you.
If there’s no love in it, then there’s typically no use for it in my world. And a fresh look at something so familiar wasn’t the easiest thing. After five years of fits and starts I’ve landed at an interpretation of the venerable Claddagh ring good enough to honor this tribe I love so dearly. Wishing you the love, loyalty and friendship of the Irish, should you be so lucky.
These will be available for preorder from tomorrow at 1300GMT. These will be made to order and will take 2-6 weeks to be delivered depending on the demand globally for the ring.

Not usually a two tone guy but it works so well on this one

Yeah same here, @chrikelnel. I find that GA does two tone better than most and I usually like how they do it.

Very nice, just missing an emerald.

For anyone who got one, how wide is the ring for small or large? Bonus points if you're able to snap a comparison photo with a Frida ring.
Also, do you find this fits looser for a given size with the inner circumference being broken up in between the arms?
-
@pechelman This is a beautiful piece in the flesh. I wear a large in this ring and the fit is perfect, sorry I can’t compare as I don’t wear any other rings. The design is quite clever in that it allows the heart to be worn comfortably in either direction as is tradition - seems to be more of an ‘oval’ fit to allow for this (see pic). Worth noting the inscription got dropped in production and replaced with GAH instead.

Thanks @IH-GARY !
I was wondering about it being oval too. Are you able to take a measurement of the width between the top of what should be the crown to the bottom of the heart? -
@pechelman Do you mean this measurement?
-
@IH-GARY yea that's the one!
Thanks. Also does it fit any looser given the oval shape for the ring size you're used to on a regular ring? -
@Matt I've no Irish heritage either but really enjoyed a trip we took the a number of years back. I think anyone can relate or celebrate in their culture. Hopefully this wouldn't be considered cultural appropriation
-
@pechelman OK, that measurement is 27mm.
This is my only ring, so I can't compare it to anything I'm afraid.
Mine is a size 8, I have fairly skinny figures and it fits perfect.
