RATS - Duck Work Jacket

Inspired by traditional railroad jackets of the early 20th century, RATS have reimagined this classic Americana staple by constructing it from a heavyweight 13oz cotton duck canvas which is woven in the legendary Kojima, insulating it with a thick blanket lining and tastefully detailing it with a 12 wale tan-colored corduroy collar.

The details do not end there though, its traditional work style jacket silhouette has been given improved mobility with the addition of gusseted sleeves and improved durability through triple-needle stitched seams. Adjustable snap-fastening cuffs and opening allow for further adjustment in the fit while heavyweight brass Waldes zips secure the body and chest pocket.

@Chesson I just looked at the sizing chart on the Sonder's site.  The sleeve length looks to come up rather short on the large and x-large.  What size is Johnny wearing in the photos?

Another question, would removing the tag underneath the chest pocket leave a mark?

@Bums_Fan The sleeve length on these is a little short, Rats do favour a shorter sleeve, especially when compared to Iron Heart. I personally do not struggle with sleeve length generally and find the sleeves on this jacket work fine for me.

As for removing the tag on the chest, I have just taken a look at it and I think it may be glued down before it is stitched, it's hard to be sure as grabbing the back of the fabric through the blanket lining is not easy.

wearing a jacket with a rat label would go over big in the shop

@Alex like I said in the WAYWT thread, it's probably the best jacket that almost slipped through my fingers.  It's been such an expensive F/W season but I just had a feeling about this one that I couldn't shake.

I don't have much white in the wardrobe and I didn't have a single work jacket, so this filled two gaps.  It's fairly light but the blanket lining, which I adore, makes it feel more substantial.  And the fit is absolutely spot-on for me, literally couldn't be better.

If I had to nitpick one thing, the zipper doesn't have the smoothest action.  I imagine it'll loosen up with time, though.
Blanket-line all the things!!!

@Alex what size would you wear in this jacket and would the sleeve length be long enough for your liking?

Sorry we missed you here @Bums_Fan

Alex would wear an XL in this jacket, he does struggle a bit with the arm length though. I got him to snap a quick photo to give you an idea.

@Chesson no worries at all.  I figured everyone is busy.  That picture absolutely helps illustrate what I was asking about.  Unfortunately, I believe I would have the same issue.  I prefer my sleeves to be longer versus even the slightest bit short.  Thanks again for the follow up.
