Hmm I love the green but the blue on this would pop over a 277…

Yeah… I'm here af for this.

I was hard set on the black, but the recent pics on the IH Osaka Instagram has wobbled my head a bit. Both colours look superb, and I’m trying to work out which will be more versatile. Think I’ll still go for black, since I wear the olive 502 pants A LOT and think the black would look better with it.

I need a bit of sizing advice from you cowboys out there.
The only other vest I own is the IHV-10 in size Medium: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/extinct/ihv-10.html
I use the IHV-10 mostly for layering between a long sleeve shirt and a jacket and plan to do the same with this one.The IHV-42 is about an inch smaller in the chest and 2.5 inches smaller in the opening. I'm assuming that these smaller dimensions will be compensated for by the stretchiness of the fleece fabric.
The shoulder and arm hole also have slightly different dimensions. Am I correct in assuming that these don't contribute to the overall fit very much.
I think I'll get a Medium in this one as well (that's also the size of all my shirts). Would you agree that this is the best option?

Not really. In general, the larger the armhole, the smaller the chest you need. But as you say, this material is stretchy and these don’t really need to be fitted, so I’m concentrating more on getting length right. I think that is key, especially as a mid layer.

Picked up the Olive in Large too. Now I just have to resist this seasons other vest [emoji51]

I managed to get the only Medium.
The shop website had a slight hiccup. When I first attempted to pay, I got an error saying that there were no more in stock, but I refreshed the page and the product was available to purchase. I guess this could have been a race condition between myself and another customer or myself and the staff updating the website.
My transaction went through at 16:02:10 UK time.

Can’t figure out xxl vs xl.
I wear xxl in western uhfs, 292 cpo, 9oz western flannels
I wear xl in 5oz work shirtsThe 24.8” p2p on the xxl concerns me. I pounced on this size to ensure it’s need too tight since I will layer hoodies/thermals under it.
Thoughts?

I went L (XL in most shirts). I’ll be wearing over one layer though. Probably go XL if I was putting it over a heavy layer.
My rule of thumb with vests is to go with the around the same measurements as the biggest layer you’ll wear it over. Armholes on vests are slightly lower down so p2p is not at the same place on your body as with shirts.
