Thanks, guys. Like I said, it turned out better than I expected.  Don't be fooled, though- I'm still generally useless.

Here’s an oil painting I just finished this evening.

Bonus pic: Wearing my hickory stripe apron. The stripes do a great job of not showing stains.

V nice.....

The stripes do a great job of not showing stains.
Which is exactly why railroad workers used to wear hickory stripe...

Shortly before the pandemic I got a new bed and wanted to make a headboard for it. I got a decent amount of cherry for the project and spent last week designing and building one with my uncle in his wood shop. I took some photos so I thought I'd share them here. I've slowly been trying to build, restore, or buy Arts and Crafts or Mission Style furniture over the past few years in hopes of someday soon having all matching furniture. If I had a mini sewing machine I’d go through my closet and upcycle clothes I no longer wear into face masks. Think of the possibilities - you could make a mask with an old faded pair of jeans and flannel or whatever

Great job @Palmer

I jumped off the wrong career ladder about fifteen years ago and was offered a couple of weeks working with a friend’s husband in landscape construction while I made a plan. I stretched that fortnight out to five years. Woodwork was always satisfying.

Another lockdown project. Wooden hand spraypainted and then adorned. Tattoo imagery derived from the beautiful flash work of ecdobleman from Spider Murphy’s.
