Thought it was a good idea to tell you about my (part time) hometown. I'll post some pictures later, right now it's still winter time, everything is just grey and looks dirty.

IMHO there are only 3 decent stores in town. What a shame for the self called "Fashion capital of Germany"  ;D

1) Uwe van Afferden. Located in the Harbor quarter, www.van-afferden.com
For me the best in town. Not only a stunning collection of clothes, footwear and accessories, but also the nicest staff you will find. Definitely worth a visit!

2) Madeira Drive, http://madeiradrive.blogspot.de/
Hagen, the owner, is a hell of a guy. The store offers Eat Dust, Pike Brothers, Red Wing and many more. And it's a motorcycle garage, too. Check it out, you won't regret.

3) Robert Schmitz, http://www.robert-schmitz.net/
A very traditional shop. They started as a place specializing in job wear (uniforms etc.) which they are still selling, but more and more they're shifting the focus to heritage stuff. Filson, Tanner, LVC, Lee 101, Edwin, Japan Blue, Schott NYC, Red Wing, Stetson and more. Very well trained staff and always helpful. What they don't have in store will be ordered ASAP.

I'm afraid that's it! Elsewhere in town you'll only find high fashion shit and mainstream, dozens of H&M's and their clones. Some small boutiques in quarters like "Flingern" or "Pempelfort", but if you're after IH-ish stuff, you're lost.

There's a lovely store in Düsseldorf named stuf|f with an incredible collection of the finest brands (for example 3Sixteen, The Flat Head, Nine Lives, The Strike Gold, UES and many many more...). Definitely worth a visit if one's in town.
