I have only seen the areas between the grand plaza and the EU-parliament area. (Yes, I'm a cog in the government machine.. :P ).

1) Chocolate, waffels and fries.. with majo. EVERYWHERE

2) lots of small, cool stores with everything from 14th century maps to Iron Heart denim.
Seize the day and don't you cry.

It's lookin like I have the chance the spend the day in Brussel's on the 6th of May.  Anything I should definitely do while I'm there? Any recommendations on places to grab some food and beer?

Thanks!  :)

Keep as far away from Seul as possible if you have a plane to catch the following morning.....

Planning to pass through in a month or so.  Anything worthy of note that I might not find in the tourist guides (or anything in the standard tourist guides I should avoid)?

I'll be on the watch for shady-looking bald guys with pig fetishes.

Hey Gents,

I will be in Brussels for a few days in early July.  Does anyone have some specific must sees, best breweries, bars, etc. that my wife and I should put on the itinerary?

Thanks.

General info:

Good must go - to bars in Brussels

http://deliriumcafe.be/
(in fact the street where this bar is located is home to a lot of cool theme bars like an absintbar and a whiskybar)

Moeder Lambic is also worth a visit

A Lá Becasse
http://www.alabecasse.com/
Drink Lambic here!

Some cool parts with shops worth discovering:

Marollen - Zavel - Stalingrad

Food is best around Sint-katelijnekerk
http://www.monk.be/ (very good Spagetti)
http://www.jackoshea.com/chophouse.html (Best steak in town)
etc.

PS: Also visit Ghent and Brugges and your done with Belgium
(although the coastline is also something quite special)
and if you are on a motorbike, go to Vresse-sur-semois and Bouillon for the best roads in the country.

If you need anything specific; google is your friend :) or send me a PM.
