What!! SS II's and not 80's. That's a few points docked there imo.
-
dude you can't go wrong with a classic pair of shelltoes. Thanks for the opinion though.

Totally agree, they are arguably THE most iconic trainer of all.BUT you got the SuperStar II's with the padded tongue and metal eyelets rather than the 80's version which is as they should be
-
Ok HD, I'm with you now. I wish I would've known that before, but I do plan on gettin' a second pair and the 80's version will have to be it.
-
Yeah, the 80's version have the tongue like the Gazelle or the Samba. Much more minimal as HD said. Plus, they have they more vintagey sole. Sorry I forgot to specify the differences when we discussed it. Good eye HD. It is these intricacies that are IMPORTANT when it comes to sneakers!
-
I like that vintage style sole way more. Â I should've done more homework!
Checked mine out and they actually don't have the metal eyelets.
-
The metal eyelets are the worst. Even worse are the metal eyelets and metal lace ends… UGH!!!!! The ones you got are fine, and prob more comfortable than the 80's style. Don't worry, this is one shoe that won't go ANYWHERE!

Yes i noticed that after i posted my pic of the 80's, which still have the better shape if you ask me ;). Get them as the weekender's and keep the II's as through the week ones.
