Thought I’d share some info on a wild tropical fruit which is very tasty but not widely known. It is abundant in the area I spent this weekend. The local name is GUAPURU and it looks like this on the plant

Looks similar to a grape, juicy inside, sweet and very fragrant. The blacker, the sweeter... Easy to pick as the plants are rarely higher than 4 meters and it clings to the main branches. This bee is the local pollinator and he moves quickly so I couldn’t get a sharper image with my phone.

The ones I found were smallish but they get quite larger during rainier years.
