Henry McKenna is absolutely one of the best values in bourbon right now.  Somehow it's stuck at 2005 bourbon pricing.  Now, whether it matches your taste is another thing.  Something to keep in mind, though, being a single barrel bottle each bottle will be a bit different.  They'll all be in a zone, but small changes can definitely make a difference in your enjoyment.  Luckily with such a great price you can snag one periodically to see if it matches your taste better.

Bought a bottle of this to keep me lubricated during my week in Liverpool. Reasonably priced, very drinakable and damn tasty. I consistently enjoy stuff put put under the Nikka label...

I'm not familiar with Japanese whisky... I grew up in an Irish/English American family and it was either Irish whiskey or American. Got in to scotches at one point, but it was an expensive habit.

I'm loving sweetness of bourbons at the moment...

Love the Koffee and it too is reasonable for the quality.
Think it, be it.

The Coffey malt is such a phenomenal bottle. I bought my first one in Japan back in '14, and I always like to have a bottle at the ready because it's so solid. I've had very good luck with Nikka so far.

I’m the complete opposite. Brought up on blended scotch and then Islay single malt. My only experience with American whisky has been the unavoidable teenage flirt with Jack Daniels and Jim Bean (thanks for that Guns N Roses). I started learning about Japanese whisky when the price of Scotch single malt went through the roof.

I'll have to try the Japanese stuff. It's hard to be the price of the American bourbon I've been drinking lately. $30-$40 is very reasonable compared the the single malt scotches I was drinking before.

I live in Norway and everything is expensive here to be fair. The variety of American bourbon available is limited but I need to test some out.

Sorry buddy... the desktop site didn't like my happy drunk face emoji  :D My wife and I talk about our yearly couples trip regularly... I suggest NYC or Tokyo, she's big on Rome and Berlin. NYC freaked her out when we were there in 2014. She has some cognitive challenges that made Manhattan very difficult so is a little sceptical to going back. I'm working on it though ;)

I'm about 90 min outside NYC in Newtown CT, and have family in the city. Now I'm new to the forum, but would Def treat ya'll to a drink of you were meeting in NYC.
