I had Urbanwoodsman grab me the IHT-1304. The skull and spider web is pretty hilarious. Congrats on the remodel.

You should really check out the brewery, they also serve some of the best pork rinds i've ever had.  They use the splatters from their beers as the packaging decorators.  The little downtown area in OKC is wild, something like 1 brewery in a 100 block radius, all middle class.

Sounds great. Will definitely check out next time I'm in the area. Thanks for the tip.

Seems to be quite a few IH people in the Tulsa/OKC area, we should do a meet at COOP Aleworks this summer.  Maybe in July or August.

I'm so in!!! Can't wait for the new mid-continent flagship location!!!
Fat dudes need good clothes too.

I might be crazy but I wanted to buy the Dry Bones Zoo Camo on sale and found out that the arms are super short. So I wanted to buy the SugarCane hula shirt on sale and the arms are super short. In the words of Charlie Brown, "I'm doomed". Too amazing looking shirts and I can't pull either of them off! Maybe next time.

I was so close to picking those up too. I think they are both really cool. Quirky and fun.

Flat Head & Real Japan Blues Shirts and 105BSP Jean

We've just received a few new shirts from Flat Head and Real Japan Blues, a restock of the popular 105BSP jean from RJB, and a slew of other items from both brands.

First up we've received an amazing rayon shirt from Flat Head from their Black Mint collection.  Nobody gets rayon feeling like Flat Head does, its soft and light and breaks in to become almost like a super soft cotton shirt.

Next up we have one of their triple-stitched collar heavyweight t-shirts in a design we've been asking them to make for years.  Its a basic Flat Head logo and motto tee done in navy and black.

We also have this year's version of the RJB Diamond Ombre shirt, the pattern is deep and the fabric is soft and light.  These go quick every year for a good reason.

The 105BSP from RJB has been out of stock for over a year now, we had RJB do a new run for us with the same denim from our SEXFHXRJB15 jean.  Its a 14oz denim in a straight leg fit with lined back pockets and denim felled front pocket bag openings.  A great jean all around.

We've also received full restocks of the F310, SE05BSP, 3009, 3005 (at SELA), women's Balder jean, key-hooks, key-rings, wallets, bracelets, and sneakers.  Check the online store for more info, photos, and spec lists.

No plans to use that denim on anything else right now.

FYI, the 3002 and SE05BSP are very close in fit but the SE05BSP has a longer inseam and it comes up to size 38.

Stevenson Spring & Summer Collection of Chinos, Gima Hoodies, and Jackets

We're happy to announce that the most anticipated collection of the year has just arrived.  This is the first half of the delivery with the second half coming in about four weeks.  There will be no restocks from these collections as everything Stevenson produces is cut to order.  This delivery consists of chinos in two colors, gima yarn hoodies in two colors, and a tencel cloth MA-1 jacket.

It only took us seven years to start carrying chinos, but it was worth the wait.  These Stevenson chinos are spot on in every area.  Taking inspirations from both military and dress chinos with vintage elements such as rear slit pockets and a coin pocket that is aligned directly below the waistband.  These are rinsed and come in a slim tapered fit and come in khaki or navy.
This is real chino cloth, as most chinos today are merely made of a flat cotton fabric, these have a bit of chatter within the fabric and feel and look like real vintage chino cloth.

Next up we have Stevenson's take on the classic MA-1 jacket but made in a combination of high density cotton twill and tencel cloth.  These are super tightly woven fabrics that stay cool and have great wind resistance.  The jacket comes complete with the classic MA-1 arm pocket, two snap buttoned hand pockets, a dual-clip zipper, and a slim fit.

Gima yarn fabric is one if the wildest Japanese textiles we've come across.  Gima yarn is cotton which has had all of the moisture pulled out of it during the spinning process.  This results in a yarn which stays very dry even in humid weathers, wicks moisture away from the body, and does not retain heat.  This is a great example of early tech fabric.  You can say that this is the only hoodie that actually keeps you cool.  The yarn is then dyed in a mixture of indigo and/or sulfur to create an indigo or black color which then is mixed with sand colored gima yarns to create the specks of light you see through the indigo/black.   This is a standout garment, the combination of color and type of yarn used to create such a simple piece is very impressive.

All these Stevenson items are available now at all Self Edge stores and in our online store.  Check the online store for high-res photos, spec lists, and measurements.

Roy Buck-Tite Slim Tapered Jeans

After years of producing jeans Roy has now made his first slim tapered cut.

Roy has taken it upon himself to rework the details in his standard 5-pocket jean model.  Nearly every aspect of the jean has been tweaked similar to the SF01 jean which was released earlier this year.
The belt loops are now thinner and made on a 1920's Union Special belt loop making machine, the leather patch design is different and on a smaller patch, and even the front pocket openings are shaped differently.  We personally love the bump on the rear pocket welts which resemble the exaggerated bump on the belt loops from many Japanese brands.
Roy is calling this the "Buck-Tite", it is a true slim tapered jean.

This long overdue set of jeans is made up of a custom fabric from Cone Mills made exactly to Roy's specs. This is the first time in over three decades that Cone has produced a loomstate unsanforized fabric for anybody.

The denim is a loomstate unsanforized indigo denim that clocks in at 14.5oz per square yard in it's raw state. The denim is made of American cotton and is 100% pure indigo dyed in the darkest shade Cone produces.
Technically, the construction of the denim.. the warp has multiple sized (engineered) slub yarns and the weft has large rough spun (non-engineered) yarn. It weighs 14.5 in loomstate and approximately 16.25oz after a hot water soak.
The fabric hand is smooth and tight.  Roy had Cone pack as many picks per inch (46 in 6.4 gauge yarn) as could be done without the loom blowing out and therefore achieved the tight weave he was after. There is a sound to the denim, after its been worn a few weeks - when you rustle it, that's somewhere between suede and oil cloth. This is tough fabric.
The look is streaky and it appears grey-ish at first. After rinsing and a few weeks of wear, it starts to change character as the white hairs formed by the fill yarns wear off leaving the streakiness to mellow and the shade to become a more rich, classic indigo.

Jeans from Roy don't come often and we can't keep them in stock as long as we'd like, so if you've been waiting for a pair, now is the time.

Check the product pages in our online store for more photos, measurements, and far far more specifications than you can possibly need for a pair of jeans.

The Roy Buck-Tite Jean will be available at all Self Edge stores at noon (local time) on Saturday May 11 and in our online store at 11am (PDT) the same day.

Self Edge Product Updates

Iron Heart
We've received a full restock of all Iron Heart jeans along with the 301s slim cut jean at all Self Edge stores.  Along with these jeans we've received full restocks of all their jackets, vests, tan belts, wallets, and bracelet.  We've also gotten an awesome black 12oz denim shirt that fades to gray over time which is going up in our online store later this week.

Flat Head
Flat Head has just finished new runs of their most popular jeans including the SE05BSP, F310, and the 3009.  Along with these jeans we've received restocks of a few of their recent shirts such as the Diamond Ombre and Trademark T-shirts, wallets, wallet chains, feather rings, key rings, and more both in-store and online.

Buzz Rickson
We had so many requests for a loopwheeled gray crewneck we brought back Buzz Rickson's version, available now at all of our stores.

Globe Specs
The online store has been restocked today with all five models of glasses from Globe Specs.

Mister Freedom
Missing sizes in all of Mister Freedom's new collection have been restocked at all stores and in our online store and we've got a new blank white tee available now at all our stores which will be going up in our online store on Thursday.  This blank tee is a steal considering what its made of and the construction.

Stevenson Overall Co.
We never expected chinos to sell as fast as these have, restocks are coming to all stores this week.  Our customers are saying these beat any other chino they've owned on both a fit and fabric/construction level.  Not a surprise considering they came from Stevenson.

Sugar Cane
Hula Oxford shirts are back in stock, this will be the last restock on these this year.  Along with the Hula shirts we received Sugar Cane's popular jean cord shirt in black/gray.
