Thanks @Appfaff @summ3rhays @Anesthetist - I ended up ordering the shirt in a small. I normally wear an IH small (although I could probably do a an extra-small). My intent is to wear it as a shirt and not a shacket.

This is my first MF anything and am looking forward to wearing it. I'll post a pick when I get it which will probably be next week.

Cheers.

I actually just picked up this workshirt in XXL and was contemplating moving it along because it's so huge in the arms and long.  Right now it looks like a nightshirt on me, which is saying something.  You guys are starting to convince me that I should give a hot soak a go, because it is a damn beautifully detailed shirt.

Some early stuff is pretty trim cut, but the sportsman stuff is all fairly oversized.  I say throw it in a hot wash and machine dry and see what happens. Length and Arms are where you will see the most shrinkage (if any) anyways.

I have some personal favorites that I have been eyeing for years arriving today from MFSC and Im hoping the sizing works out... I've been buying his stuff for more than half a decade and I still get nervous about the sizing haha.

I own a small in the 10 Anni. CPO and typically wear a small in IH, sometimes an XS.  I am a little long in the body so the shirt doesn't fit long on me at all.  If I sized up to a medium it would probably be a bit long.  You will most likely notice the arm holes being a bit higher than IH shirts and maybe slightly slimmer through the chest but going same size as you wear in IH was the right choice in my opinion.

Thanks for the reassurance @BloodnThunder! Will definitely post some pics when it lands.

Nice haul, especially the Tonkinoise. I like my chambray version but I wish the arm/cuff were a little slimmer.

Yeah, it was pretty "full" cut. I was pretty aggressive with the soak, so I'll see if it shrank down a bit. The snow denim was insanely stiff when raw. Almost as stiff as the canvas CPO... almost

Thanks dude - been wanting the Topsiders and Tonkinoise for a while so I'm excited to have them. Just hoping they fit as well after a soak as they did before

Ok I think you've all convinced me to give it a go with the wash/soak+dry.  I'd obviously love to be able to machine wash it anyway so if it works that would be good.  My only worry would be that the needed shrink in overall length and girth is incompatible with the available shrink in the arms (i.e. if I shrink to a good fit overall, the arms are too short, if I shrink only enough so that the arms are good the rest is too large).

I'm normally an XL in IH, but with their listed measurements pre/post soak, the XL would end up far too small in the chest.

Oh well, I guess that's the fun in experimenting, it's not like this thing was expensive or anything  ;).

@tvenuto - did you buy it through MF HQ? If so, you can swap out the sizes.

Nope was a rakuten find.  According to their XL pre/post measurements it would end up far too small for me in the chest, so I'll give this XXL a go.  Wish me luck!

For reference, the raw measurements are:
P2P- 23.75
Shoulder- 20
Sleeve- 35 (from center back)
Length- 32.25
