I definitely didn't need a pair but I kind of regret not getting a pair of those 10A M43's.  Such a good looking boot.  If they made the combats in that leather I would have pulled the trigger.

@Bulatik85 those are an absolute 10. You could get away with those being the only footwear in your life. Would love to hear fit info.

@Bfd70 hi!
do you mean the some sizing information or just how they feel?

from the personal feeling, they are very comfortable, the leather is supple and flexible, don't see that they need any break in.
they also sit very well on my feet, no slip or anything like that, very well secured on the feet.
I used to have some problems with some boots fit, they hurt my big toe. it is probably somehow nonstandard one and in case of unstructured toebox it is much more freedom to adapt to the feet shape.

I didn't yet had a chance to wear them(only at home), the weather in my location is very wet now with a lot of mud and melted snow with solt on the streets. I've decided to wait a little for more dry weather  8)
the veg tanned leather is usually very breathable, supple, but not that much water resistant, like chrome tanned leather.

if you need sizing advice, please ask.

If they do make the M43s in that leather again, I just might have to pull the trigger. I have three pairs of Lofgrens now and I feel that's excessive, but dammit those just look too damn good, especially once they age a bit.

Dammit, you enabler!!! :D

Funnily enough I’d never really checked out his site, or maybe I had but it wasn’t this functional? Has it gotten better since the Rakuten Global Mkt ended?

Man. I want those but I just got my pair of Timber combats only a couple months ago, and one of my other pairs is the regular M43. I am extremely tempted, though. Size 12 does seem to stay available for a while in Lofgrens, so maybe they’ll stick around long enough for me to rationalize a buy a little later. Oy. Thank you so much for the tip!

Been really loving wearing the engineers (and jeans) again, now that the oppressive Texas heat is starting to relent a bit. As I think I mentioned a while back, I have a really high instep and for whatever reason the right boot was really hard to get on, so much that I had to poke a hole in a ziploc bag and put my foot through it to help slip the boot on, then tear out the bag... more than kinda wasteful. Anyway, been wearing them as much as possible in an effort to aggressively try to stretch out the leather, and it's finally worked. Plus the patina's starting to look pretty nice :)
