Looks great dude. This was one I always regret not picking up!

When I was at the Iron Heart pop-up store in Cologne, there was one jacket left.  I forgot the size but it was a tad tight on me, so it must have been an XL or XXL.

This was day one, Rocky Mountain National Park:







I've since removed the zipper pulls, as I think it's a bit of a cleaner look. 
It's been about a month now and it just gets more buttery by the day.

Ditto, just ordered the last XXXL. Measurements look great, can't wait for it to arrive!

I followed suit with the last XL at Self Edge warehouse sale. Impossible to resist at that price!

I plan to wear it mostly with a t-shirt underneath, so I took the plunge with XL. I feel I was in between sizes XL and XXL on this one. I'll know in three or four weeks time...waiting is always a burden but more so under sizing uncertainty.

I noticed too that there was some size variation between the Selfedge page and the first page of this thread. Might coulda squeezed into a XXL based on the SE measurements but to be safe I went with the XXXL. The lining too might add some bulk to the inside so hopefully it's nice and snug. Planning on wearing this sans collared shirts so T's, henleys, sweatshirts...mine should be here Friday so at least I don't have to wait as long! Stay strong, brother.

It's also worth mentioning that IHUK is always more careful with their measurements, too.  I haven't always found Self Edge to be as accurate.

The IHUK measurements work better for me anyway, I'm sure it'll be fine. Might be able to snag a fit pic on Saturday, the wife and I have a rainy Oregon beach adventure planned and the jacket should be perfect for the weather. More to come...

The differences won’t be massive. On tops it’s normally a question of a couple of cm on the shoulder measurement because IH go from seam to the centre of the collar seam then double it, as opposed to seam to seam. There maybe a difference in the way they measure length and chest too, I can’t remember.

It’s a bigger issue with bottoms as the way they measure thigh is different and this can a marginal measurement for some.

So I never got those glorious beach pics due to a hang up in LA, but the jacket just arrived and here are a couple quick/dirty fit pics. Gotta say I'm pretty stoked, think we have a winner! Not too snug through the body, there's a little bit of a pinch right at the armpits that will likely go away with wear as the jacket relaxes, and I even like the length. I'm 6'4"/235lbs wearing a XXXL for reference.

Beers were consumed this past weekend in a Filson Cruiser. Soon enough for the Riders too! This jacket's so badass, might be a while before the Filson sees action again.

I just found this thread... I too picked up an IH-527J-SP f/ SE's sale in 11/2017. It's been my daily winter jacket for 17/18 & 18/19. I prolly have 10+ months wear in it. I need to post some pics and thoughts.

In the meantime... it's due for a wash. Can this jacket be machine washed? Is the denim subject to crocking at creases? Should it be washed inside out, like jeans? The outer denim has some dirt and crud on it that would be easily cleaned with a "normal" wash, but I don't want to f'up the denim.

I don’t know the jacket but I assume it is 21oz?

If so I think you’d be fine with a low temp/low spin machine wash. I’d turn it inside out.

Other precautionary measures would be to soak it thoroughly with the shower head first.

If in doubt, handwash in the tub with agitation.
