Tried the Tudor Black Bay Bronze Bucherer exclusive edition in blue (Tudor BBBBB?) at the Zurich airport yesterday. It’s very nice, but quite thick...

Counterpoint: if they didn't render numerals at various angles on tachymeter scales they would look pretty bad.

Love this Blancpain dress watch

I was looking at Villaret Ultraplates the other day.  :)

I took a look at the Blancpain Ultraplate a while back, and it was lovely. I suspect that one might be in @Giles's future.

Repost of a wrist shot, because...

"Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate"

I'd be tempted by the Mille Mailles bracelet.

I talked to a friend who knows more than me about watches and he warned me off it, so this is my new "must-have"......

So, that's not going to happen any time soon...... :)

Yes, the 5035.  It has been replaced by the 5146 which is a couple of mm larger, but it has a moonphase which I think is a complete waste of time, and it costs more than the 5035....

Agreed with the moonphase... I don't know much about Patek except that they are superexpensive, but that seems to be a reasonable price for a golden high end watch, right?

I sold my only Patek recently so really owe myself one at some point, don't I????

IMO, Patek represents the pinnacle of watch-making.  At this price-point, what the watch is made of really has little bearing on the price of the watch.  If they made it in steel, that would probably be the one I'd go for

If it were made of steel it would be more expensive!

I like the moon phase, particularly the way Patek does it. I have zero use for it but just enjoy the difficulty involved in fitting another complication into the space. Likewise I have no use for a chronograph but would love to pick up a Speedy or Daytina.

Tried on a 36mm gold Rolex Day Date yesterday on the presidential bracelet

New goal for me. Love it

The 9 in the date window doesn't look centered on that PP. Lovely watch otherwise
