Indigofera
« on: May 27, 2015, 03:29:17 pm »
Didn't see a thread on Indigofera so I figured I'd start one.  I only have one piece from them but am really impressed with the quality of the shirt/jacket.

On that note, I own a Fargo Shirt Jacket in Gunpowder.  A lot of great details and a very reasonable price point.  Probably one of the coolest details about this piece is that it is dyed with actual gunpowder which gives it an incredible grayish hue.  Even better is that because of the dyeing it smells of gunpowder, which is one of my favorite details.

Only downside is this particular piece runs large and the smallest size was slightly bigger than what I prefer.  I am thinking of giving it a good hot soak to try and size it down a bit.  Before I do that I wanted to see if anyone on here had any experience with soaking this jacket and if it shrank at all with a hot soak.  Really don't want to wash out most or all of the gunpowder smell and end up with a jacket the exact same size.

Any way I'll see if I can throw some pics of mine up as it evolves.

Indigofera is a very impressive label from Sweden with awesome products!
I own a couple of their garments.

For example this iconic hoodie - a collab with Burg&Schild:

or these two flannel shirts:

and a few shirts more.   :)

I have also bought a few Indigofera garments and I can confirm that some of those can be quite big.
My Fargo jacket is size M and I wear IH Lefty jacket now size XL.

My humble list of the Indigofera.
-Thurston vest
-Fargo Jacket/shirt no. 2
-Norris Flanell Shirt , Beige/ Indigo
-Mack Jeans, Relaxed Fit/ Tapered Leg, Handdip 13,5 Oz

I think Indigofera Jeans are fine quality with reasonable price tag and they are max. ~15 oz. what I have seen, so I got those for summer.
Mack model is not my favourite cut, but too late now  ;D

The Indigofera Shirts are really very big ... All of mine are in Size Medium - normally I need between L and XL.

unfortunately their jeans seem to only come in inseam 34.
I'm owner of a Clint in fabric 2 (raw STF) which shrank too much, so i can only wear them uncuffed now.

They should offer them in inseam 36.

I'm REALLY eyeing the gunpowder Fargo lately, but I too noticed that the size charts show them to fit HUGE...

But, my BIG question is:

Of the people here that own one, have you traveled in it or with it packed in your luggage?  I travel for work frequently, and I would HATE for a cool shirt to cause me to end up with a TSA guys finger in my butt.....
In search of:
IHV-03, med.
IHSH-185, med.
IHSH-186, med. (khaki, and green)
IHSH-187, med. (khaki, olive, and black)

I have not traveled in mine....  But I could imagine this jacket potentially causing a delay at security.  I would email Indigofera directly on this.  Kari responded to my question(s) in less than 24 hours and I'm sure he has worn one of these through security with all the traveling they do.

The Fargo does fit huge. I'd say two sizes bigger than Iron Heart. My younger brother inherited mine after I dropped a bunch of weight. :(

Incidentally mine lost the gunpowder smell after washing. It probably wouldn't be a problem with security at that point.

Looks awesome. I like the overall shape and how clean the design is. I already have a Trophy Storm Vest and a Serge Boa vest so I don't need it but damn it's cool.
