I´d probably buy something like this:

https://powell-peralta.com/powell-peralta-sidewalk-surfer-checker-ripper-skateboard-cruiser-assembly-7-75-x-27-20-wb-14-0

The 80s reissues are really cool but I don´t think i´ll invest that amount of money into a skateboard that I plan on just rolling around from time to time.

I was just browsing their clothing section and there are no Tommy Guerrero products to speak of. Was hoping to nab the flaming sword tee since that was the deck I had back in the 80's. I wonder why they don't sell any Tommy G merch? Love Tommy Guerrero's music too

IHSH-129 size L (blue)
IHSH-107 red size L
IHSH-37 blue/orange L or XL depending on fit
IHSH-86 green size XL
IHSH-196 size L

In Germany the Flaming Sword Deck is available at some Dealers but these Reissued Decks are really expensive, the Deck alone costs 150 Dollar in german Shops but Decks are in general more Expensive here then in the US.

Skateboard and Art was and is inseparable! I was hooked to board graphics also @gaseousclay .

Phillips

But there was also this Black&White aesthetic and Punk attitude of 'Trasher'...

Jim Phillips' work is amazing. Still a fan of the art from that era of skateboarding. I still think it would be awesome of Converse did a skateboard collab with whichever skateboard company and put out some Chuck 70's with some of those iconic graphics. Could be something with the old Mark Gonzales art, or the Powell & Peralta stuff or Santa Cruz.

Decided to have a bit of photography fun this morning and try to make one of those old skateboard magazine staples... the lots-of-pictures-in-one-picture picture.  Frontside Coleman 180 at the park on my Longboard Larry 56" Cruiser.  I've been skating on-and-off for a coupla decades, but only discovered the joy of longboarding last autumn.
