for those of us who work in an office that has "casual Friday", or now with the pandemic "casual everyday", a nice pair of jeans kept clean is much easier than wearing the same ones we were at the ranch with or in the yard with.

You simply don't have to make that distinction and are lucky for it.

Maybe an indigo pair with tonal stitching?

@Giles in your personal experience, what top 3 fabrics/weights have been the most durable in Iron Heart jeans?  Not thinking about fades, but how resilient the jean has been to wear and tear.
Hmmmm, I tend to wear a pair of jeans for about a year more or less non-stop.  Then I move on to the next great thing...

If I had to make a stab at this, I'd go.

25oz
14oz
19oz

I want to purchase a denim Type III with pockets.  I also live in a warmer environment (Central Texas) and would like to opportunity to wear it not just when it's super cold.  I currently don't have issues wearing 21 or 25 oz denim on my legs but also know that our cores are more sensitive to heat transfer.

Based on the above response of durability and knowing the that tightness of the weave plays a part in how breathable/warm a fabric is vs just pure weight, which Type III would you recommend?

14, 19L, or 21?

Is the off grid island fishing project still in play?  The one you and Paula spent a month at.

It is, it took a big hit in a recent typhoon.  But the 2 boats were undamaged.  Covid hit us hard.  We basically had full bookings for 2020, and those all but disappeared.  But yep, it is still there  :)

Hiya Giles

Any idea where to source a pair of raptor malt soles (just the soles) in the UK?

Ah, no worries. That at least reassures me that I’m not missing something blindingly obvious as I can’t find anywhere.

Thanks, hope you’re well.

Ha! I love that you looked.

Here’s another one for you: How big are your calves at the biggest bit?

I have the willowiest girls’ ankles, but reasonable carfage. I’ve read you mention a few times that yours are mighty and I’m curious as to just how much I am lacking in all areas below the knee. It’ll also help me understand the fit of your jeans a bit, but I’m mainly motivated by curiosity at this point.

FWIW I have zero interest in any other of your measurements.

Sorry for the delay, not something I carry around in my head, in fact, I am sure this is the first time I ever measured them.

44cm...

14 or 21, def not 19.

I forgot that SelfEdge has a 22oz with pockets.  How does this compare weave-wise to the 14, 19, and 21?

...hey Giles!  Is the orange bag for something specific or just a friendly little gift? :)
