Monos... What an astounding piece of cinema. The use of audio and visual, the sense of not being able to second guess which direction the plot will go next, even though there is a clear narrative.

@den1mhead it's a challenging but rewarding film. Check out the trailer, or Mark Kermode review and maybe give it a go.

Planning to watch tomorrow, cheers @Stuart.T

We got around to watching Takeshi Miike's Hari Kiri last night. Sublime story telling and film making. Recommended.

It's been a long time since I've watched one of his films or Japanese cinema generally. I've missed it.

Mother! Amazing film. Very overwhelming on the senses at times, and has so many layers. The cast are all fantastic, and the use of the house and various relationships as metaphors are brilliant.

@den1mhead can't recommend this one enough. It definitely gone into my top 10 films.

Cheers buddy for the recommendation and I can say that we have seen Mother twice and I reflect your words entirely 👍

True Story of the Kelly Gang. I've waited an age for this to see release, and it was worth the wait.

Quite a visionary director who used artistic license to some degree, but there are some great performances, cinematography is great, and it is very true to historical events.

When I was a kid I visited family in Australia, and saw a Ned Kelly exhibition that had his armour. I've been fascinated ever since. It's not surprising that the outlaw Mindset persists in parts of Australia to this day.

@den1mhead this might be one for you and Jules. Give the trailer a go...

It looks wonderful. Thank you for posting. Despite its deep and obvious flaws, I love the Lynch version and the book is tremendous. Very excited by this film.

I also love the Lynch version, not least for the music. The book is my all time fav', so I'm super excited.

I am a sucker for those video game and movie steelbooks. I have the Army of Darkness bluray steelbook too. I don't even collect movies or anything.  :)
