I often heard alcohol was expensive in Norway, but not until I visited Norway did it truly sink in. I bet buying beer on the black market in Saudi Arabia is cheaper than acquiring it legally in Norway.

True story. On the upside, Norway is one of the only places in the world where infidels will shrug their shoulders at paying $300 for a shirt. My father-in-law does it all the time, his are just made by Ralph Hilfiger or Gunt/Cant or whatever they're called…
