Sporting my new IHJ-142-IND with the IH-633S-II, no sun but the Indigo still pops!

Well the day has come, and so damn quickly I might add; on Monday evening, I confirmed my snap upgrades and a last-minute size change (thanks again for the patience Graham and Bailey!), and it arrived In San Francisco today! Got home late from work and not the best lighting, but here are some initial pics. Cant wait to get this piece in the sunlight, because the deep indigo is so gorgeous! I’m stoked on my size adjustment from original order of Medium down to a Small after careful consideration of how I wanted to wear this, which was as a lighter spring coat, that I could layer if needed but wanted a slimmer, more fitted look. I’m 5’8, 156, 39.5” chest, and this small fits perfect. I layered easy with a thick samurai tee, and a decently thick hoodie. The copper snap upgrade was something I was eager to see, and it’s even better than I hoped. Don’t sleep on this piece yall!! Thanks again to IH for a beautiful new jacket!

Well, a bit of a wild update here! Per my earlier post in this thread, the XL I thought I had tracked down through a seller on Facebook Iron Heart marketplace, which ended up ultimately being a purchase through eBay with the seller, was coming from a retailer in China he had tracked down, and after about three weeks of highly anticipated waiting, and like a young child on Christmas, I tore through the packaging only to find that the IHSH-368 was staring me in the face.. needless to say, I was pretty crushed. Apparently, there was a mixup somewhere along the way, and after many apologies from the Facebook seller, we set up the return process, and aside from some hurt feelings on my part, there was no damage done.

When I tell you I have been on the hunt for the shirt for the past eight months, I mean it! I went through all of the retailers posted In the original post, searching far and wide! And as you all know, this baby was sold out.

Ever since then, I have been checking in several times a week on all of the marketplace to see if one was popping up for sale. I thought I was being very diligent on the marketplace here on the forum, but two weeks ago, I stumbled across a post that I clearly missed from @Miiks back in October that he was selling his. I had very little faith that it was still available, but you never know, so I hit him up. Low and behold, he informed me it sold quite some time ago. And then a few days later, this SAINT of a man hit me up, saying that he stumbled across one for sale online, and he sent me the link. I couldn’t believe my eyes ! When I got onto Pinkomo’s site and saw that they had a medium still available! Are you freaking kidding me?!? The exact size that I have been hoping and praying for all these months, was still available!? I don’t think I’ve ever so frantically purchased an item before my life!

After my last experience, I was still holding my breath a tiny bit (unnecessarily, as Pinkomo is a pro-status shop). It arrived yesterday in pristine condition, in a beautifully wrapped box, so a massive shout out to the boys over at Pinkomo!

And so this, thanks to @Miiks and Pinkomo, is how I was able to track down, what I believe to be, maybe the last one of these for sale in the world!

It just goes to show that with a little bit of luck, persistence, and the wielding of the Almighty power of Iron Heart Forum, pipe dreams can come true!

After seeing what @Alex said in the above post, I had to make a stockpile purchase from Rivet and Hide before it was too late. I’ll at least have a fresh pair to look forward to down the road.. such a unique tone of indigo and as soft as the OD variety. Glad to snag one of the last pair in my size out there!

@m4xime welcome to the "slippery slope", my friend! These were my first intro to IH about a year ago, and let's just say my closet has undergone a serious make-over. Not only with multiple pairs of jeans, but jackets and tons of buttons down shirts (UHFs, Westerns and Work shirts), and also not just IH, but IH has led me to appreciate the high quality craftsmanship coming out of Japan from other brands. It's clearly pricier, but to know your supporting workers who are fairly compensated for their labor (which is also more about what you're NOT supporting when you don't buy clothes coming from other brands), in my mind it's worth the price. I know in a lot of ways this is coming from a place of privilege to have the $ to be able to do it, but I'm not a tech person (no hate for those who are), but as a teacher making a modest living, I'm choosing to support sustainable industries and pay more to do it. Anyways, my rant is done. Sick jeans, and enjoy them!

Would be really cool to see the 389 CPO return in a 21 oz version!

@DeeDee85 hell yeah dude, this is looking great on ya! Love mine so much, and so fun to see everyone else stoked! Love the roomier fit for all those layers. It really looks sick on ya. I sized down because I have too many jackets (my biggest marital issue at the moment ), and if I'm layering a ton, it probably means I should be using one of my 3 heavier IH outerlayers, so I wanted this more as a Spring jacket I could rock with a tee. That being said, I still sneak my Flint and Tinder 10-year navy hoodie under it once in a while because, as you're showing us, it's a dope look. Keep them fades goin!

@AdamC thanks for looking into it! Not a big issue, just takes some extra effort to line up the snaps, but it helps me not be lazy so that’s nice:). Cheers!

Just got my OD's of this cut in the mail yesterday and first day wearing them. SO SOFT!

I will say this cut compared to the 633 requires thinking about your waist measurements a little different, since these sit so high. They hit a smaller part of the waist. I was really nervous with the size 31', which had a 30.5" true measurement (in the 633 I have 31.2" and they're great), but these could have actually been even tighter and I woulda been alright with the stretch that will come. Just food for thought for someone going with their first pair of 888's!
